Love the colours of these lamps and they are fantastic value! They are £11.99 each, but you can now get 2 for £15

The 'get deal' link takes you to all of the lamps, the Grey and Copper Lamp is my favourite - but the others are lovely too

Featuring 3 settings, you can adjust the brightness from low to medium to high with just a tap of the hand. Including a soft white fabric tub shade, set it on dim for a warm and alluring glow.

I purchased two of these, the copper sections were extremely scratched. My advice: check the items carefully in store.

how are they packaged when you collect them. are they easy to inspect without opening?
The packaging is literally just a clear plastic bag around the lamp. 3 out of 4 of the ones I inspected, the packaging had already slipped off. One was secure, but I could see that the copper section was still scratched. So the scratches are likely to be a fault with the finishing/manufacturing. It’s easy to inspect the product once you open the box.
I've had several of these, plus derivatives thereof.

All of them have failed within 8-12 months, with some blowing the dimmable LED bulbs I installed.

Thing is, the circuitry within has been constructed from poor quality components. I dissected one only to find it fully encased in epoxy and therefore unfixable.
Anyone know whether you can put smart bulbs in them e.g. Hue Bulbs? Not sure whether they'd work what with being 'touch' operated.

2 for 15 quid, I am not sure that you can expect that much?

Pretty sure it’s a no. You are not supposed to dim Hue bulbs.

I'm not really bothered about dimming it via the lamp itself, just wondered whether you can leave it on 'full' constantly like a 'dumb' lamp, and still have the control that a hue bulb gives.
I have had this for a while. It is ok but beware of one annoying thing.
There are 3 levels of brightness, so you can't just tap to turn on and then tap to turn off. You tap to turn on and then you need to tap 3 times to turn off. Unless there is another way to do that which I am not aware of, but I find this really annoying.

I do this and it works fine. Just leave the lamp on the highest setting, and control it using the hue switches/app/alexa.
I have these they are nice but pretty small, work as bedside lamps. But I agree, check for imperfections as not the best mad
Purchased in White. Was looking for touch lamp. Two for almost price of one not bad either. Fitted good old fashioned filament bulbs for a fiver.. can’t go wrong with those when dimming. All good so far. Hot.

Also, do yours buzz pretty loudly on the lowest (first) brightness?

Its the hassle factor. I was planning to use these as bedside lamps. Don't want to be looking for another set a year later. If its just general purpose lamp and you can bin it and not worry about a replacement, then I see your point.
I've got 3 touch lamps in my home and they all turn themselves on without being touched
These are fab! What deal at £15 for a pair. I got the silver and copper ones and I love them - definitely recommend 🏻

You can buy replacement electronic circuit on ebay, for few pounds and rewire it
I got 2 of these, found them a little too (electric buzz) noisy in comparison to what i had before especially on the lowest light setting.
Bought 2 - They look really nice. No buzzing from me.
Only downside is that you can't use LED lamps in them - but for the amount of time they're in use, it's not an issue
I have the pink copper and white ones. They was perfect when collected

I'd have thought it was hard to get turned on without being touched..
What are these like for electricity?
Rubbish!!! purchased 2 and took them straight back ..poor quality and very small...a copy of the Habitat one which you can pick up for a few £ more ....
Had mine for a few weeks now in copper, the one seems fine but the other has blown two bulbs already. Brought a new bulb today and if it blows the same will I be able to take it back to Argos and exchange it without the receipt and box?
