should be a national deal, as it was on a standard sel

Are they dimmable? It makes a big difference if you already have a dimmer switch.

I want dimmable ones for the living room. but at this price they will tide me over until I get around to getting a dimmer switch that works with my harmony one remote.

managed to do the whole house for £30, that is quite a deal.

Most stuff goes cold at first because I think there's an army of people who sit pressing F5 on the "New Deals" and voting cold on anything that doesn't appeal to them.

It's akin to floating a company on the stock market, at first the bears will drive the temperature down, but later on the bulls will come along and provide support.

excellent deal, never seen a quality three pack of LEDs cheaper than £12 - I need 40 of these bad boys to fill my house so saved me a good wad of money

Think I will pop in to see if any of these are left in ours!

this is why I haven't bought dimmable ones yet. do u know of any switches, off the top of your head, off any switches that are compatible with led bulbs and a harmony one remote

curiosity got the better of me, and I had to go look for a dimmer switch. looks like the varilight ones I had been looking at originally are compatible with dimmable leds.

Yes they are, I use several of them, you want the Varilight V-Pro Series Eclique (used be called Eclipse)

They don't dim the lights completely down only to about 10 watts.

They can be triggered by some other remotes so you may have to alter them and set them on a different button on the remote

Sorry but I onlu use GU10s, I gotthe dimmable version of these from LEDHut, they were reduced to £4.89 at the time and there was a 20% code as well so I got them cheap

Great deal! Just hoping my local has them.

This is an incredible deal, make no mistake! My local Asda not only has GU10's but also B22 bayonet, mini screw candle and mini screw golf ball. All half price at £5 a pack. Fitted 3 candle style this evening and they're impressive. Much brighter with a more natural light than the many led bulbs I've bought elsewhere. I'm going back to Asda in the morning to buy whatever stock they have left :-)

I'm guessing it's the spotty teenage computer game crowd. They're like a horde of tracksuited zombies.

I must say, it is wierd that this deal went well over 300 degrees when it was twice the price just 3 days a go!!!

Go figure oO

Also meant to say, after spending £65 on these just now they still had some left at Asda, Eastgate shopping centre, Bristol...

I can confirm the price too, was £5 in my local Asda when I was taking my set back for falling apart. Staff said they are reduced due to Asda discontinuing them, down to the amount of returns.

Don't know why they just don't send them back to Duracell.

These dimmers work with my Virgin Media remote so I should imagine they'll work with your Harmony

Cheaper than the Chinese ones I bought from eBay recently. Wonder if these cause DAB radio interference like those do?

Found none in Glasgow.......

I don't know how these compares to philips 2w gu10 s I bought but philips are gr8. I've replaced 11w cfl's gu10's and Philips are brighter.

There were a couple of packs of the SES bulbs at this price at Bristol Cribbs, but no packs of the GU10's.

Worth mentioning that in Bristol Eastgate Asda the display was tucked away in the corner in amongst the greetings cards, nowhere near where you'd expect!

Not all dimmable LEDs need special dimmers!!
When I was doing the Electrics in my rents new conservatory build I bought 12 X 9w (3x3w) dimmable Rotundity CREE's from ebay and they have been working perfectly fine for nearly two years now on a bog standard 3-way screwfix incandescent dimmer!!

Just bare in mind that obviously LED's use a much lower amperage so therefore you need to hook up a good few on each dimmer channel for it too function properly.
I rigged mine up with 4 on each channel which is about 20-25W load and like I said they have been working great for nearly two years without a single failure :-)
The range in brightness is also great going from barely on/very dim to retina burning bright :-)

so how do you find out which ones need special dimmer switches?
