Nice design, HOT

I have the 32gb version of this, and while the capless design is very good, the sticks are a little bit bigger than the 'slimline' ones, so you may struggle to fit in another item in a USB socket next to it....

decent price if a little bulky

Does anyone have read and write speeds in mbps for this Duracell Capless USB 2.0 Flash / Key Drive - 16GB ....Looking for a 16GB flash drive to transfer movies off Humax Foxsat Recorder and edit out adverts using PC software.

Write Speed of upto 10MB/s and Read speed of upto 16MB/s

Is this a better stick than the Sandisk linked?

this one is SLOW tho - 5mb write speed - i have this and wouldn't recommend it even for just the occassional use.. unless you only need it for documents... but then why get a 16gb?

Been this price for months!

Speed Information:
Read Speed: 170x
Write Speed: 65x

10MB/s write 26MB/s read
up to
so they say

The170x and 65x speeds are relative to the standard CD speed of about 150kB/s, giving approxiimately 25MB/s and 10MB/s read/write repsectively... IF the figures are to be believed.

Badgie,

How did u work that out ?

Am I right if I say : 170x = 170 kb/s = 170,000 bytes/s = 17MB/s then how come it's 25MB/s ?

let me know that calculation

170 x 150kb read and 65 x 150kb write. Simples.
