Yes, realised once i clicked through Better get my Biff, Chip and Kipper books back out

In my opinion these are terrible batteries. I would rather pay the extra and get standard Duracell

I'd have given you heat if they were AA and not AAA. Then again have some anyway

why do you believe these are inferior to standard duracells?

Is it just me, or do these look a wee bit snide???

DJW114 m ago

why do you believe these are inferior to standard duracells?

These were used where I work until everyone complained how bad they were including myself. They were replaced with standard Duracell. They are Duracells budget range. I use the standard Duracell I pay £9.95 for 24

These are not their budget range - the budget range is the one found in poundland. Still there is very little benefit in all Alkaline batteries - the performance difference is around 10% however much you pay for them. Often it depends on what the batteries are used for as some of them are not suitable for heavy drain items.

I suggest you do a little research the difference is a lot more then 10%.
I have used these batteries they are rebadged procell batteries. They are terrible for any torches or anything that has a continuous drain. For remotes rec they are fine.

if you search the annals of hukd history you will find most if these are fakes.

Rechargable for the win

Just bought ....96 x AAA for £13.65 Click & Collect.....from Ebuyer 12 + 4 FREE !

I have done a lot more research on batteries than you care to know. See some of my other posts - see batteryshowdown.com/res…tml

I don't understand what "Still there is very little benefit in all Alkaline batteries - the performance difference is around 10% however much you pay for them" means.

Are you saying difference between alkali and zinc oxide? That's how most people would read what you've said.

I don't like this "deal" for two reasons:

1. Poundland alkaline kodaks are fine at 6 for £1.
2. I don't trust eBay batteries. I bought some "Procells" there once which were junk

just stick with Eneloop...

There is a big difference between Alkaline and Zinc batteries. Stop buying Zinc, buy Alkaline instead. There is little difference between all Alkaline brands. you cannot compare lithium with alkaline or Zinc. They are very different from each other.

But these are non-rechargeable primary cells. They have their place and fair better in some instances which require low discharge, such as clocks and TV remotes.

Be wary of Duracell batteries. Most are fakes, and are lead acid, which corrode after a few months and destroy your £30 LED Lenser torch (learnt the hard way!)

Industrial, my arse.

I've bought Duracell and Energizers of EBay and Amazon for doorbells and electronic safes, car alarm fobs etc...none have lasted well tbh, possibly fakes I don't know.....the cheapo GS make batteries have lasted the longest for me.

No it doesn't. You have to compare like with like.

No your words as can be seen. " the performance difference is around 10% however much you pay for them" I'm done going back and forth cold from my a terrible batterie compared to standard Duracell in my experience of them

We used to use Procell's - and found them comparable to other Duracell alkalines - however since they've been 'replaced' with these 'industrial' ones we've been far from impressed. The kids mostly use them in XBox360 controllers and I'd estimate they get about 8hrs use.

Not found a suitable replacement yet - rechargeables are a possibility but we also use these in high drain environment where there often left in equipment when it's sold / lost / given away.

i invested in 16 AA and 8 AAA Eneloop batteries.. they can be found in kids led fairy lights, remotes, laptop mice, basically everything they wasn't bought for for the price, and what they are most likely be used for these are a good deal along with the AA posted above. eneloop are expensive over kill
