1000mAH doesn't sound very high capacity....same price at 7dayshop, and cheaper if you buy more than 1 pack

You have to keep in mind that its a AAA & not the AA batteries.

These batteries are not the newer type that come
ready charged and hold their charge but ANY rechargeable
is better than throw away ones that clog up landfill
sites.
Heat added.

cheers

No great shakes on price I am afraid.
Cheaper here - especially if you buy more than one
7dayshop.com/cat…061
However, I'd still recommend going for the 'stay charged' types which hold 800mAh. Plenty on 'the bay' for less - Hybrio, Recyko or even 7dayshop own brand.

I know these are from Amazon Marketplace but I think these represent great value for money at £6.79 for 4 AAs and 4 AAAs and are Hybrio types :

Get a good charger though

those are their own brand so they're same as no brand compared to these Duracell. I wouldn't buy no brand:)

Me too.

Once you use the Low Self Discharge type, there is no going back.

+1

lot of peeps sticking up for the hybrios but they don't charge as many times as standard nimh,
i've also found they cause problems in some of my devices especially ones you often put on charge before fully discharged ie telephones
also why is this expired they are still there?

Maybe I haven't had a problem yet because I don't put them in equipment which has its own charger (e.g. cordless phones). I use a decent quality intelligent charger. I have had other cheaper chargers in the past and they are rubbish in comparison to the one I have now. No point buying decent batteries and then frying them.

Telephones are about the only item I haven't bothered to use these in, precisely for the reason they are charged every time I put the receiver down, and the phones I have aren't old enough for the originals to have gone yet... all are at least a couple of years old now I would think, but the batteries are still going strong, so obviously I haven't replaced them for the sake of replacing them.
