Just went to Tesco Reading and got some AAA batteries. Duracell ultra 8 pack advertised at £6.00 on a bogoff. When I got to the checkout I was charged £1.37 a pack. Don't know if it happens everywhere but worth looking for.

Have a scan of the reciept but do not know how to post it.

Good price, but do yourself, and the environment, a favour -- pick up some rechargables instead.

Except almost everyone will be MUCH happier with Low Self Discharge type, eg. the GoodtoGo ones from the same retailer, which to all intents and purposes behave JUST like disposables:

£3.49 for 4 x AAA and they will save an absolute fortune over their lifetime.

Thanks for that I've just bought 3packs of AA and 2 of AAA 'Good to Go'. Also I needed some CR2032 button cells and they were a bargain at £3.39 for a pack of 12. The Energiser 2032 batteries are over £3 for only 2 normally.

Got 2 packs yesterday in my local Tesco - couldn't believe it!

Would these work with the Elonex Alkaline Revive? Anyone tried one of these?

No idea, but there are cheaper or similarly priced standard rechargers available that will. Recharging disposable batteries is just a gimmick, proper rechargeables will recharge hundreds of times.

If you get the LSD type rechargeables (not these) then you won't need to buy Alkaline batteries again as all you do is charge them when you remove them, and they will be ready for when you next need them, even if it is some months time.
