good find...heat added

Wouldn't "1 + 7 free" have made your offer look better? :-)

Is anyone experiencing lots of leakage from Duracells where once it wouldn't have happened?, I've had 4 lots of Duracell leakage since around oct 2009, having had to ring the duracell helpline who stated they dont leak liquid but leak a white powder, this makes me very nervous as to the composition of Duracells & the possibility of fakes within the supply chain, we purchase typically from Tesco, Waitrose, & in bulk from 7 day shop.com, ..whilst I use alot of rechargeables (7-day brand again) some items really do necessitate proper batteries.
IE we have alot of oregon scientific clocks with either mains & battery back up OR exclusively battery, + separate thermometors, I write on the backs of some of the units the installation date so am forming a good idea, ..latest batch which were "box-fresh" lasted around 7 months & had a long shelf-life indicator of MARCH 2015. around half the time of the previous set.

Seems Duracells are not the brand of repute they once were.
(not voting cold incidentally, just using this as a springboard for others in case they are experiencing the same)

Just use rechargeables. With the new hybrid types, it's nonsensical to use throw-away batteries any more.
