Do not forger that Duvel is 330 mL vs 568/500 mL.

LOL just kidding

There are times that quality is so great that defies any value-for-money and £-per-mL logic.

Comparing Duvel with Carlsberg Export is unspeakable. Do not forget the double amount of alcohol. You 'll get there with half beers. Although drinking Duvel to get drunk is either too posh. Trust me, instead of getting a 4pack Carlsberg, get 2 of those.

Recommend Old Tom Ale.8.5% also.Puts hairs on your chest
In local (sheffield) this deal includes Tesco branded brewdog hardcore IPA.
Superb beer - still hold the record in our Antwerp office - 13 bottles and in work the next day - still p*ssed but in workoO
There's about 105 different bottles in this offer. This should be under one thread in my opinion. And I agree with the above posters about Old Tom but the Brewdog IPA at 9.2% is a bigger winner.

That's impressive! Just three bottles in a couple of hours makes my head giddy. Lovely stuff but incredibly strong, great price!
A strange beer which creates a bubble explosion on your tongue

I like it but not on a session

One battle infant of telly on a school night

My Belgium friend got me on to it about 12 years ago. Was difficult to find in uk back then

Yes, but Carlsberg Export is only 5% and is brewed locally under license (and isn't very nice IMO).
shelf life 36 months it says !!
Is this Facejacker beer?

oh how I love this beer. Spent an evening drinking this stuff at a Car show in Belgium, loads of us Brits turned up after a long drive to the showground and just asked for beer, barman said...weak, medium, or strong...we went for medium and he served us Duvel!!! My mate spent 2 hours in the field behind the tents on all fours emptying his stomach contents after downing 5 bottles that night X)
Was £1.25 a bottle in both the Tesco's i've been in recently (both Perth). I think Scotland are probably getting different deals

I think "Buy n for £x" alcohol deals are illegal in Scotland. If that's correct, then retailers who want to preserve the same price in Scotland as in England and Wales can only do it by lowering the per unit price.
decent deal, I'm surprised this has got so hot though when it's a repeat of a thread from 5 days ago which only got to 250ish degrees

either way, i've voted hot
Never tried it before... what would people say it is similar to... if anything?

Smooth and crisp (wow I do sound like a boff)

I'd recommend to taste though, cant remember the last time I drank a snide carling or carlsberg since tasting premium beers (German and Belgium)

The first supermarket beer that comes to mind for a comparison is Chimay Blonde; but Duvel is less hoppy. As I remember it -- I got my four bottles today (thanks, OP!), and I'm letting it sit in the cupboard a couple of days before pouring (it's a bottle conditioned beer, and I like it better poured clear, with the sediment left in the bottle).

You could try £4 off a £40 spend GRTXFT
Valid from 17/09/12 until 30/09/2012.

Lovely drop OP, cheers.
Fantastic stuff this, beware though if you haven't had it before you are supposed to leave the last bit. (sediment)
I remember being introduced to this in a mates kitchen one night and was very impressed, but drunk as though I normally would. Then although I felt great I realized when I tried to go home that my mind was no longer aware that I had legs !!!
I assume this is the same superb beer that i drank a lot of over the years 0n the continent as Duwel ( i.e.prononced DuVel in English)? Duvel would be pronounced Duffle in most European countries. I trust that unlike the UK brewed crap imitations we get of Stella, Carlsberg, Grolsch etc this is the real McCoy?
