Pretty cheap on this, given that it can last up to 6 months (looking at reviews and Q&As on Amazon) Basically this will make sure that any water that hits your windscreen rolls off as opposed to spreading out and taking longer to clear. In theory this should get you your visibility back quickly, should you get caught in a heavy downpour or get splashed by a truck through deep puddles (This happened to myself yesterday, but thankfully we saw it coming an slowed right off)

There are other products out there that do a similar thing, although from what I can tell, the treatment lasts for up to 2 months. I've personally not used either, although I am tempted to grab some for the Winter months, especially with some of the winding country roads where we are.

Duxback is a professional-quality car glass treatment that makes driving safer.Originally developed for the airline industry, it stops water beading on glass, dramatically improving visibility in rain. What's more, it makes cleaning much easier, and prevents frost sticking to your windscreen in winter.
One application goes a long way. Duxback doesn't just coat your windscreen, it bonds with it, forming a protective repellant barrier that stays on for months. No other product on the market, works like it.

  • Each Duxback One Car Kit contains
  • 2 Duxback Ampoules
  • Pre Cleaner Towlette
  • Window Stickers
  • Duxpoints
  • Recomended By:
  • Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Ford, Chrysler, Mitsubishi Motors & BMW

This was the naughty puddle. although on the way back.
I know the water burst it's banks, by the way... I don't call all bodies of water "naughty puddles"

Ah, we didn't pay the extra for those. I have to go out of the sun roof, do a handstand and get the microfiber out

The wind alone, when driving above 30 odd mph should be enough to push normal rain off the screen with this. But as for surprise splashes, I'll take anything that clears it quicker. It always happens living out in the sticks

I use Rainx, usually pick it up when it’s cheap in either ASDA or TESCOS, it’s a good cleaner as well as a repellent, but it doesn’t last long.
We used to offer this at a dealership I worked at... until many customers complained that when driving towards the sun they could not see out of the windscreen due to intense glare from the sunlight on the Duxback treated glass.
One of the Duxback staff eventually came out and tried to remove it from a windscreen by actually sanding it off with an electric sander. He spent approx 3 hours sanding a windscreen until he gave up and paid for a replacement windscreen.
Quacking deal

The way it smears after a while is almost worse than without it, you certainly know when it needs redoing...
Does this stuff smear like rainX can?

To be honest I’ve never noticed this before, I even use it to clean the shower cubicle.
In reality it’s not required and it’s a nice to have for me now.
That DUXBACK sounds a nightmare and far too risky to apply.
The code has expired, but the site has another code PAYDAY50 currently running - not much use to me though as no local stores with any stock and no delivery to my postcode.
