Noob question, but after the trial expires, will it still work to rip a DVD to your hard drive so that the film can be burned to a DVD-R disc? For backup purposes of course.

This is the always free cut down version so it shouldn't expire ... I believe that it won't beat the latest protection but should be ok with less demanding protection.

Thanks, I just checked their website too. Seems the full version (paid) will deal with the latest protections, but as you say, this one won't

Heat added though

It does expire taking away most of the functionality but it still does the basic rip to the hard drive. I then use Handbrake to create mkv's or mp4's for the tablet. I haven't had anything yet that DVDFab wouldn't decrypt even after the trial had expired.

Depends how new the protection is ... I would say give it a go and see... you can't lose anything.

I dont think Lovefilm use anything extra to protect their disks, so in theory it should work, although I could be wrong. Nonetheless it is illegal to use the service in such a way, so I would not recommend.

Hi - My free trail version of Dvd fab has finished and want to backup dvds to blank dvds. Does HD Decrypter allow films to be burned to bank dvds still ?
