My vacuum cleaner has packed in. Is it really worth buying something like this over a budget £60 to £80 one?
Just got one last week. It's got a 5 year guarantee picks up well. I prefer Henry's but was over ruled......

Hmm, this or a Shark? I like uprights. And bored of my Meile and its bags which fill up in no time.
Dysons last ever mains powered vacuum.
mccririck22/03/2019 22:29

Why?

Because Dyson said they where no longer manufacturing and researching technologies for mains powered vacuum cleaners. All future Dyson vacuum cleaners will be battery powered due to how efficient they are and they are as powerful as a their mains cleaners.

Only on turbo, which means the battery lasts less then 10 mins and wears out in 6 months like mine did. Stick to mains. It’s easy to get the cordless one out when you need it, but the mains ones last soo much longer and the suction power is always there

Yea I will, I have one of these myself and its decent. The cordless ones just went there yet in my eyes but Dyson obviously thinks different.

A shark every time. The nv601ukt blows every Dyson I've had out of the water. Everything about it is quality.

My miele is and always has been overrated junk.
A ball vacuum.??. Whatever next ... I just wash mine in the shower .

They're not stopping manufacturing them, they're just not developing the technology for them anymore. There will likely be a few small refreshes, bit all the research is going into cordless. They will continue to manufacture and sell full size corded vacuums.

They just aren't designing any new mains powered models going forward.
