is it pokemon friendly ??
and in other news "Dyson reinvents the wheel!"
If I were going to spend 200 quid for cooling I'd be going down the aircon route.
Such a marketing con; this is nothing more than a ducted fan.
Much better one in sainsburys £12..................................
wow £200 for a fan...Having spent the best part of this heat wave week visiting hospital where they have lots of these fans, I really can say that my cheapo £15 fan does a better job...really think its a con...for £200 you best pick up an air conditioner
The white was is currently £189.99 at Costco (online) if you're a member.

Thanks for sharing OP
Sat in a room with 2 fans at the moment, one of these and a standard £15 from homebase type one.

The £15 is twice the power of the £200 one. The dyson looks cool, but as a fan it's very, very poor.
It's a £15.99 fan with an expensive badge on it.
I bought an AM07 a few months back for £145 from the Dyson Outlet. Absolutely love it. I sleep with a fan on and the fact that it's quieter and no longer blows dust in my face that was hard to clean off the blades is a big win in my eyes.

I doubt it's much cooler than others but cars aren't just judged by how fast they go.

cars in my eyes are "bang for buck" 10 15 £ fan all day for me
I seen they were doing a hair dryer for £300 too. Mental.
These are rubbish! stick to hoovers dyson....

They use them in hospitals for the only good reason to have one - Hygiene, with no blades they don't get covered in dust and crud that gets blown around the ward!
I have had mine for 5 years, paid £160 for it back then. Yes, expensive for a fan but its lasted longer than any other desk-fan I have had.

Nice to switch it on after 6 months and not have it blow dust in your face or around room before it clears.

Dyson don't make Hoovers, they make vacuum cleaners. Hoover make Hoovers in the same way that Jeep make Jeeps.

That's fine. I would never critique anyone for preferring a cheaper fan. Different strokes for different folks after all.
does it cool in any other colour?

Its Air Multiplier ie moves lot more air about 15 times more than the small fan in the base
Its fluid dynamics , still over priced though
Disappointed there are no Poundland alternatives.
Where are you guys today?
dyson had a go at washing machines. it didn't end well, maybe the new amstrad

Pretty sure you'd want these in a hospital rather than normal ones!
Whole reason is due to cross infection.

If you want to clean the blades hidden in the dysan, then you've got to dismantle it.

I clean the dust off the blades of my desktop fan the quick, easy way..

1. Spray blades generously with pledge type furniture polish.
2. Set to max power, Switch on and stand well back for about 90 seconds.

Centripetal force throws off the polish taking all the dust with it. Obviously, should be done outside or covered by a box or some-such And will only be effective on fans with a decent sized motor (mine's 90w with just a 12 inch fan).

Alternatively, buy a tower fan for about 20 quid.
