Overpriced plastic rubbish.

I'm guessing you haven't used one then. Genuinely excellent product.

I love my Dyson, but refuse to buy a new one after James Dyson said he wanted to get rid of workers rights, hire cheap labor from abroad, and not pay any tax. I can't support a company that treats people like that.

Overpriced plastic rubbish.

No suggestion just stating a fact.

Overpriced? Yes
Plastic? Yes
Rubbish? No (Best vacuum cleaner on the market)

FACT.

Looking for a replacement Upright Dyson as the current one is literally falling to pieces.
The new models are so confusing and they have removed the "compare" models feature on the website.
I understand the Cinetic is their top of the range model but whats the difference between the Dyson Ball, Light Ball, Big Ball?
It was much easier to compare when they had the corresponding model numbers

Hot deal, been looking out for Dyson deals, although unfortunately they don’t appear to apply to the v8 like I was hoping. The v7 is now looking more appealing.

My missus went for the shark lift away, she says it's way better than the dyson we used to have.

Is it fair to assume that the V6 trigger has the same "engine" with the V6 animal? The difference is just the accessories that comes with it?

Thanks/

I'd like to ask why? We have a v6 animal and it keeps jamming (I spend almost as much time clean it as cleaning with it), the head will randomily stop spinning (after i've un-jammed it) and the pole locating lugs broke very easily. Its put me off Dyson completely.

Yes

DC19 needs replacing after 7 years. Cinetic down to £300, that'll do!

Not very good at guessing are you.
I had the misfortune of owning one and it was nothing but Trouble also it was the noisiest thing ever.
You couldn't pay me to have another one.

I seen somewhere the v8 does 7 mins on full suction. And i guess thats with a new battery.

I've had one and they are handy but itbus forever clogging and I find myself having to get a knife into the tube to clear it... saying that I'll probably buy another one..

It's only 6 mins for the v6 and v7 but for normal use you rarely need to use full power mode.

Which one will be the best for allergies ?

One with a hepa filter. Of the V6 models I think only the 'absolute' does.

Can't go wrong with a Vax product from my experience.

We have the same problem with our Dysons upright, it's always getting clogged, hair around cylinder brushes etc. It does a grand job but it needs to be cleaned at least once weekly itself it's that keen on picking up

So your one is representative of all of them?

I must completely imagine mine working fine, and the same with my friends' ones as well, because yours didn't work properly.

They're clever in the Dyson marketing department!

They need lots of money to invest in their upcoming car....

So who do you buy from instead?

Bit rubbish if you ask me - was looking for a v8 but they seem to be in that ball park elsewhere anyway

For a hard floor cleaner, something like this Miele is good for example: currys.co.uk/gbu…tml.

Honestly, household item wise, nothing beats Miele!
Including hoovers, over the years i have had everything including dyson but since trying Miele, i have never gone to anything else!
Try it!

I had a Miele fridge/freezer that was rubbish. It had dual compressors, one for the fridge and one for the freezer. Great idea, but both compressors were worn out within 4 years.
Got a Miele vacuum which isn't bad, but the bags and filters are expensive.
Got a Miele washer/dryer that's not much cop. Looking forward to replacing it with another brand when it gets too bad. The last Miele washer/dryer I had cost a fortune in repairs that never fixed the problem. It was hopeless at balancing the load and threw itself about the kitchen whenever it went to spin. Wish I'd learnt my lesson and hadn't bought another.

Supposedly the V6 isn't that great. The V8 is a proper next generation step up and great cordless vacuum but is very expensive, whilst the V7 retains most of the best features of the V8 but is cheaper.

Value for money wise the V7 seems to be the way to go. If there's a decent deal on it id buy one.

Moved to a Dyson V6 animal from a bagless Samsung and have to say we think it is exceptional. It is the best vacuum we have owned.

Agree entirely.

I have a v8 absolute, it's the best vacuum I have had. It get pet hairs out of carpets with no problems.

Bought one about 2 years ago. Never again - clogging, plastic splitting etc. Rubbish.

6 minutes is more than enough unless this is your only cleaner rather than a supplement to a mains cleaner
