Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal (What a name, huh?)

You'll need code GET15 at checkout for this price.(Gives £15 of a spend of £279+)

The current cheapest for a new one at the moment and includes tools to make pet hair easier to remove. Other places have them as "Pre Black Friday deals" but even then it's £15 more expensive than this one at AO.

I didn't expect the code to work with it to be honest, but hey ho! There you go

It's free next day delivery but you can choose any day if you're not going to be home because of work and what not. They will delivery on Sat/Sun which is pretty neat. Reviews look really good and I do think this is the cheapest for this model so far.

Product Overview
Packed with Ball technology. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum cleaner rides on a ball, giving you total flexibility to move from room to room. Packed with a 2.18 litre bin volume and 120AW suction power, Dyson cyclone tech separates smaller dust particles so your vacuum won't lose any suction. It's perfect for homes with pets, as you don't need to worry about washing or replacing filters. There's also a self-adjusting brush bar that digs deep into carpets and floors, providing steady suction to remove dust and grime. Use the crevice, brush and stair tools to get to those hard to reach areas. And, the tangle-free turbine tool removes stuck-on dirt from your floorboards and hair without tangling inside the vacuum.

How does it compare with the DC50 animal? Got it from Costco at around £215 but have not opened the box as waiting for a better deal on black Friday.

Sorry DC40 animal as the Dc50 was discontinued.

Just looking at these on the Dyson site [Black Friday Deals] at £299 & the code works.
The only issue I would have it, is it not very energy efficient being D rated

We have this model , really pleased with ours . Got lucky , paid £184 for ours a couple of weeks back off Ebay Dyson Outlet

Well worth the £265 though

Given the amount of time its on , would this make that much difference to the overall running cost ?

Given the difference between A rated and D rated , I estimate around £1.50 a year based on hovering 50 times a year.

We hoover more like 125/150 times a year but we just have 2 rugs , stairs and 4 bedrooms upstairs with carpet so hovering times are relatively small , I reckon around £3 - £3.50 max extra per year for us , not a deal breaker at all really , £30-£35 over a 10 year life expectancy.
