Hi

Our current vacuum broke and I called Dyson direct who offered me a DC-40 Animal for £189.00 with a free home cleaning kit. The kit is 3 extra brushes for cleaning blinds and the top of shelves etc. Supposedly worth £37.50.

The animal is around £210

Just bought one of these last week for new home. Not used it yet. Can anyone comment how it performs?

Can you confirm whether you are asking if we are clairvoyant or are you asking us to come round to yours and try it out?

Average the brush bar on ours cuts out everytime we run it on a deep pile carpet or rug, we have got that sick of it have decided to give Shark a try and ordered a NV680 from amazon for £149.99. From what ive read shark seems to be overtaking Dyson with many dyson customers ditching them in favour of shark. Dyson used to be good we loved our DC33 one of the last vacums they made that didn't have the ball technology but the DC40 can't meet it's performance. I can run the DC33 over a rug and it won't stop the brush bar but with these new motorised bursh bars on the ball dysons they stop with very little thickness.
i bought one to replace my gtech and in terms of performance it is a lot better. I've obviously compromised because it is heavier and i have to plug it in, but I'd rather have a cleaner house.

The genuine negative i've found is that it doesn't feel very solid. it is quite plasticy and when you are steering it, it feels like the plastic is bending, not like the older DC07 kind of generation. That said, i've used it for 6 months without fault and am happy with it.
Anyone know of any Dyson Trade-In Deals just now ?
No not joking people. I've bought it for my new home. But I haven't moved into the new home yet, so I'm not opening it until then. That's the reason why I asked how it performs. too many funny people on here fishing for likes

If your mainly wood and laminate floors in your new house it will be fine but if you have any thick carpets it might struggle on deep pile rugs as I find it impossible to use.

I was genuinely just having a laugh, but it did come over as a silly question
