This is available from Marshall Ward for £139.99 + £3.50p+p (£143.49). You can claim 6% from Quidco. Also 10% off for new customers. Not sure how long the Guarantee is though.

so is marshall got the best deal? i suppose if you are using the 20% off voucher, you won't get the 10% first order discount, am i right?

I said "possible" 20% discount...

A member in another thread used the 20% on his first order, but they billed him with only a 10% discount... as always, using these type of discount codes can be problematic, but I would leave the coice up to you. Even if they do only give you the 10%, this is still the cheapest price.

http://bestsmileys.com/doh/3.gifThanks edi ... never noticed that.

Amazon was selling DC07 for £129.99 last week. Price is up by ~ £10 now.

prices in amazon changes by day. DC07 has once been in £119.97!

the price has gone up for many things there in the last weeks, and now gradually lowering, yet not cheaper than before. wondering has it got anything to do with the strong of GBP!?

My word! Never expected such a response to my initial post. Guess what? I rang up John Lewis & asked whether they would do a price match. They replied in the negative and were quite OK about cancelling the order.

Then called up Marshall Ward to confirm 5 year guarantee which they did and later placed my order online through Quidco. Have to wait and see whether it is a 10% or 20% [they are a bit naughty as they do not show the discount after entering the code].

Apparently I was told by 'Marshall Ward' that the 5 year warranty is only for Dyson DC07 bought on or after August 1st 2006. Prior to this date it used to be a standard 2 year warranty. Judging by what they told me I suppose one could avail the 5 year deal wherever they decide to buy this item as it involves a mail back redemption.

Thanks to all in this forum who have pointed me towards a better deal for the same product.

Saabu.

Mmmm.... a five year warranty could almost tempt me....

£137.20 delivered here....

Hi Hotdealseeker,

Received the vacuum cleaner yesterday. Have been billed for £125.99 + £3.50 PP. This means that the 20% off promotional code [D5JW] was not applied and only the new member discount of 10% was given.

Registered with Dyson by phone and they gave me the 5 year guarantee for this item [it comes with a card for the standard 2 years guarantee].

I hope that this helps.

Regards,

Saabu.
