If you are after one of these i advise getting a factory refurbished from the dyson outlet on ebay

£64.99 inc delivery

and they are fully new looking

they are direct from dyson
but you only get 1year off dyson instead of 2
but when i registered on the phone they sent out a 2 year warranty

i would consider a refurb on almost everything but a hoover. for an extra £18 you may aswell go new and have an extra years guarantee and piece of mind.
Also I would expect a refurb would have more chance of going wrong in the 2nd year than a brand new one. everyone agree?

Mine was new
it still had that new smell
and all the bits where sealed

you actually buy it from dyson on ebay
its not a middle man

still a good price for new
just giving people options

fair enough buddy, the refurb is probably nr new anyway, poss return open box etc? worth a gamble for the price?

Does anyone reading this thread actually own one of these and can you give your opinion. My experience of hand held cleaners is that either the battery dies within a few minutes or suction is very poor. Is this the best handheld available?

suction is very good with crevace tool
battery lasts around 5 mins continuous

you wont get one that sucks better on batteries

5 mins doesnt sound long but its enough for the stairs and such
i have 2 batteries as a backup and dont need the second very often

very good suction nothing compares handheld wise. Great for the car. battery as above is about 5 mins constant use which is acceptable. spare batteries are available for about £25-£30

Had mine a year now and it's brill to do the car or the stairs or even a quick wizz round only down side is the 5/6 mins battery charge. Great suction though would recommend and would definatley buy again

Mine came from Ebay and is now my caravan dyson - it is perfect - looked new to me
My husband got me mine for my birthday and now I love it more than him!

I don't know if they've updated it since I got mine or maybe mines faulty but I find it terrible, suction is pretty bad and the way it's designed, all the air gets blown into your face when you're using it. Maybe its just mine though as everyone else who has commented on here seems to love it.

This is an absolute MUST in my house - it is one of the only things that would be replaced immediately if it did go wrong. If you have kids then it saves no end of time. My battery has never run out, even though it only holds 5 minutes suction, you don't use it continuously normally and I don't find running out of power a problem.

Who would buy ANYTHING secondhand for so little difference, but in particular a BATTERY operated item!
Batteries are unreliable enough, but a secondhand one?

The original deal is certainly hot.

The battery wasnt second hand on mine

they are more of factory seconds than second hand

and just repackaged in plain brown boxes

you can tell if a dyson has been used as there will be micro scratches inside
the dust box where the dust has been spinning around
mine had none
