Seems a good price, although the RRP is a bit of a joke.

Buy a Henry (as used by cleaners in hotels, offices etc.). It will last you much longer and cost less.

Somewhat agree with this, I think the earlier dyson's are not as well made as the market would like you to believe, and our current 7 year old is bust beyond believe, with cracked plastic and broken pipes all over the place, however I believe that the newer versions with the 5 year guarantee are much better.

I do think that when they are working, they do pick-up extremely well.

I've got an Animal Dyson that finally died after many years fantastic service - borrowing a Henry at the moment - IMO the Dyson is so much better than Henry - the Henry is heavy, cumbersome, doesn't follow you well, can't follow you upstairs like a Dyson can and isn't as good at sucking! My Dyson had the rotating brush head on it which makes a big difference to pick-up. The Henry is much cheaper for a reason - it' not as good - not sure a Dyson is 3 times as good, but at this price it is definitely twice as good!
Word of warning my local argos's in the area were selling DC19 as the DC19T2 not the actual DC19T2, according to dyson it is older technology and does not include the £20 dusting tool. Spoke to argos and they are looking into it but say something is wrong with either what has been received from Dyson or the website details.
I'm going to risk it and get a refund if it's not the t2.
good luck, let me know if you get the right one
Went to independant dyson retailer and explained Argos deal and asked how I would know if it was the T2 or not, he checked the site and price anyway and price matched, giving me the DC19T2i (a special model for independant dyson retailers with bonus brush and stuff. Basically I got the best DC19 for the Argos price!
