How long does the battery last

Your Dyson handheld is designed to give constant suction. Unlike other handhelds, when fully charged DC30 will give 6 minutes of powerful constant suction. The ideal amount of time for running out half way through what you are doing.

Cold.

Good price, am hoping that I can use someone's tesco staff discount to make it even cheaper!

6 minutes, what a joke.

I have one. Dont expect to do your "spring cleaning"with it but for clearing up quickly this is perfect. Not heavy just does the job

Gosh, if I wanted to hear loads of comments about things only lasting 6 minutes, I'd have followed a thread about unsatisfied housewives. Yes, its last 6 minutes, that's the design, its for short jobs around the house, if you don't like that, don't buy it, but its a cracking price.. and its ready to go again in 3.5 hours, which is more than I can say about...

Maybe it's more about how you use those 6 minutes... I'm sure a person could achieve a lot within that window of time - and be very pleased about it too!

Was hoping this would do for vacuuming the car but 6 mins is pushing it really. Shame, always really wanted one.

I'm getting out of stock now when I go through to basket..

I kind of get what people say about only lasting 6 minutes, but I wonder if it would actually seem like quite a lot longer .. no idea how long it normally takes me to hoover, probably feels like a lot longer because I hate it so much!

Do you find the battery begins to not charge so well, or still as good as when you bought it?

Although, that is a good point you raised as I had a Karcher hard floor cleaner that was battery operated,it did last a fair while but it started to lose it's charge & once it was gone completely & would no longer hold a charge I couldn't find a battery replacement anywhere.

Got mine for £76.50, it's handy to have an ex husband who works for tesco!

I have one of these must admit they only last for 6 minutes so you have to be quick.
good price as well
thanks op

6 minutes, what a joke.

That's what she said (hey, someone had to say it)

6 mins is fine if you use regularly which you will do as its so easy

WRT the battery life you have to remember its on a trigger. This means it's only on when you're using it. So it goes a lot longer then you would imagine if you're used to a conventional wired vacuum cleaner.

We have the DC59, which on boost mode does 6 mins. And that's sufficient to do one floor (~77 sqm ) and one flight of stairs. (My wife's left it in boost by mistake, which is how I know :/)

We've had it a year and on normal mode (20 mins) it's still doing the entire house (3 floors). So the battery has held up well.

Dyson do replacement battery's though, surprised Karcher don't

Heat added chichi, might have to invest

It's the 6 mins power that put us off buying this. Ended up with the dc44! oO

The wife bought a DC59 at xmas cost £300, i thought she was mad paying that much for a Dyson that only lasts 6 mins on full power & 20 mins on normal suction. We have a Springer Spaniel & a cat & it's more than enough to clean a three bedroom house top to bottom. It's the best thing we have ever purchased by a country mile & the house has never been so clean.

Great price, my Dyson needs updating as its used a lot. Heat added.

Great deal and great handheld vacuum.

Perfect for cleaning the car, yacht or a quick top up clean in your home. We bought the extension tube so you don't have to lean down to the floor when sucking up the dog hairs on our wood floor.

I know it's only 6 mins use but can you it when it's charging or just wireless

6 minutes may not be much for constant use, but with a hand held you typically move it into position, hit the trigger to suck up what you need, and the release again. that would only last a few seconds.

How long does it take to charge?

I recently bought DC59 Animal, so no use of this one....so voting cold...

So we should all vote cold anything we don't personally need?

wow 6 minutes......who can hoover their car in 6 minutes!!!!???? more overpriced dyson nonsense!

Should you unplug after 3.5 hours?
How do you know when it is charged?
what happens if you leave it plugged in and charging?
will it continue to use electricity if it is always charging?
How might this cost?

The plug has a light that goes out when it's charged. Mine lasts 6 mins on full wack or 12 mins on normal mode

They actually come with a dock so it's designed to be left on the charger. Once it's charged the light goes out and it stops charging.

if is charged and still feels warm then it's using electricity.

I don't think the DC30 comes with a dock from what I can see..
