Been after one for a while so £90 all in was just right. Ordered! Heat!
That's handy, I've just blown my old vacuum cleaner up. Cheers op.

Not sure these can replace your main home vacuum. Unless you can do you whole house in 6 mins. A full Dyson also has about 5 times the suction power of this.

Anyway, thanks OP. Ordered and saved myself £10 over the Argos deal. A pity there isn't a deliver to store for free option.

We have babies/small children and it's one of the best things we ever bought. Very rarely use it until it goes dead (about 5/6 minutes). So handy!
i saw that 6 mins full suction really it only last 6 mins???? or is that somthing else?please help x

Yes, a full charge only lasts 6 mins. But that's usually enough for the quick clean-up jobs it's intended for.
Good price, cheers op
not good for stairs then

How big are your stairs ?????
6 mins is a joke for a product of this quality/price
Not worth the money if it only lasts 6 mins on a full charge IMHO
Is this discontinued, it's not on the dyson site, just the dc34 which looks awfully similar? Does anyone know if this comes with the accessories you'd need to vacuum a car? cheers.
My mother-in-law has one of these and six minutes is the maximum you'll get from a full charge. £90 is a ridiculous price for a device that is not suitable for reaching difficult places (like under the car seat and other car nooks and crannies).
This thing sucks
These are rubbish, worth £30.00 tops.
6minutes = very very poor. Can't command such a high price tag for that spec.

I also have two cats, and vacuuming the stairs with our handheld B&D 18v Pivot takes a couple of minutes tops. If it takes you longer than 6 minutes I can only assume you own a 5 story house

Cordless only I'm afraid - you might only get 6 mins use but that's after 6 hours or so on charge!
Not good, IMHO...
Why the hell only 6 min that's shocking how long does it take to charge
Like I say, the 6 mInute thing nearly put us off buying but reviews at time were good. We find 6 mins ample fr all the quick hoovering jobs. Tell you what, try staring at a clock for 6 mins - actually a really long time :-)
Dyson sell two handheld vacuums:

DC30
This is their older handheld model. Battery only lasts 6 minutes on a full charge. Generally receives 3 or 4 star reviews out of 5 (mainly because people are disappointed with the poor battery life).

DC34
Newer battery technology allows this model to last 15 minutes on a full charge. Generally receives 4 or 5 star reviews on the dyson website.

I was in the market for one of these a couple of months ago. I decided to pay slightly more and get the DC34 (paid £110 brand new on ebay). I honestly can't fault it - 15 minutes may not sound like a long time but I've only needed to charge it once every couple of weeks so far. Easily the most powerful handheld I've ever owned (puts cheap dustbusters to shame). Absolutely brilliant for doing the car / stairs / muddy footprints etc.

Dyson also sell the DC35 handheld which is the same as the DC34 but comes with a wand and head attachment.

cats dogs fish bit the noahs ark in here!!! not good kids and men!
We have one of these and they are really for small casual spills, bit of dirt on the floor, sofas, table tops, etc.
Not to replace a full size hoover.
Having said that, it's brilliant for that and saves time getting the full size out, plugging it in, etc.

the newer model states:

Dual power mode 15 minutes of high constant suction or 6 minutes on MAX power

seems possible that it simply has a lower power setting to give it more time?
6 mins is more than enough for the car. don't have to go over the same spot again and again like cheaper car handheld vacs that lack this level of suction.

Current models are lighter than previous so should be much easier.

I got one of these 6 years ago and on full charge lucky to last a minute now, that said its been incredibly useful over the years for cleaning up little spills or a quick spruce.
Just bought a refurb one of these recently for not much less. It's really good and I'm very impressed. As others have said, it's not intended as a full on vacuum, but as a companion/supplementary device. Anyone with messy kids will find it a godsend!
6 mins would be ok if it was 30mins to recharge but have a feeling it's 8hrs plus which is ridiculous

I agree, great little hoover, not so great if you are using it for prolonged time. It will stop after around 6 minutes and will not come back on again until it has had a full charge. Dyson garuntee it will always give the same suction which means the motor will not become slower as the battery dies, it will just cut off and stop working until it is charged again. Maybe good for doing your car etc?
Good deal, just be weary of using for whole house!

Anyone find a similar deal for the DC34 and it will be SMOKIN HOT!
You will be surprised how long 6 minutes lasts. We have the DC34 Animal and use it for both the car and vacuuming cat air and 6 minutes is enough. I could insert a sexual reference there.......
We looked at these but plumped for the tiny cylinder one try do which is Booftik.
just tried to order - OOS!

Black & Decker 18v Pivot is what you want.
I have one and it's pretty much superior to the Dyson, and costs half the price.
