Dyson dc40 animal £199 at Argos, includes a £10 off voucher

Found 29th Aug 2015
Just bought one of these at Argos and got a £10 off voucher too which I used to get a nexus 7 16gb for £90 (plus they gave me another £10 voucher instead of £5 by mistake )
This is the cheapest price i could find for this model by a long chalk, the dc40 is £189 at curry's but this is the animal version
Hope this helps someone else with a hairy hound like us!

Nice one big cheese

the £10 voucher isnt a mistake if you spend £100 you get the vouchers regardless of what you used to pay for it , done this a few times when this offer has been on by splitting things up to get the maximum vouchers

Diolch I ti damnome!
The £10 voucher I think was a mistake as I only paid £90 cash + the voucher.
When the receipt came out it only had a £5 voucher attached, the lady serving me gave me the other fiver and who was I to argue

Not the animal

I have this from Argos offer earlier this year. Worst electrical item ever bought. Rubbish battery. Poor performance and feels heavy & awkward. For £200 it's a major disappointment and I curse every time I use it.

Rubbish Battery? is this a cordless?

Which reviews of this model are good but not great, which recommends the DC40 Multifloor as the best buy, need a new vac and surprised which suggest the standard Multifloor is actaully better for animal hair than the animal model (animal model only better on hard floors)

gets a very poor rating on carpets

Carpet pick up rating: D.
Hard floor pick up rating: A.

We had the dc33 which was good (also burst into flames last week, should have emptied it more often ;-) ) , but suction wise, bearing in mind we've used it 4 times so far is way more powerful, we have wooden floor with a rug downstairs with a carpet upstairs, so if this is a D rate for carpet, I'd love to see an A rated one...

that just about sums up how ridiculous Which reviews are. the dc40 multi floor and animal are identical unit apart from the colour and the accessories. how they've said one outperforms the other I don't know!

I have laminate floor down n carpets upstairs .. Which dyson will be best thanks

we have hard flooring downstairs and carpet upstairs, this one is pretty good!

I got one of these, thanks to op for the amazing deal. Had nectar points and a Love to Shop voucher so I only ended up paying about £138 for it - well happy. The suction on this is amazing - when it's on max it literally vacuums up carpet pile and I daren't use it on my kitchen lino on max. I had a Dyson ball DC40 before this and the 5-year parts and labour guarantee is really useful if you are an obsessive vacuumer (which I am). I've had engineers out several times to replace parts on the previous one and it's well worth the money.

Why is this deal expired? The offer is still on!
