Dyson DC44 Animal
Features

Root Cyclone™ technology
Some conventional vacuum cleaners use a bag that can clog and cause suction to drop. Dyson vacuums don't have a bag. Instead they use patented cyclone technology. Powerful centrifugal forces spin dust and dirt out of the air and into the bin, with no loss of suction. DC44 has Root Cyclone™ technology and a fade-free nickel manganese cobalt battery for high constant suction.
Balanced for floor to ceiling cleaning
The centre of gravity is located towards the grip for easy handling up top, down below and in-between. The detachable wand is made from lightweight aluminium. It extends to 66cm to clean up high, down low and into awkward gaps.
Increased run time
DC44 has 20 minutes of run time or 8 minutes on Boost mode. Other cordless vacuums may claim longer run time, but many lose suction power during use. DC44 has constant powerful suction from the moment you start to the moment you finish.
Powered by the Dyson digital motor
DC44 Animal is powered by an intelligent Dyson digital motor. It’s smaller, lighter and faster than conventional electric motors. The Dyson digital motor in DC44 Animal spins up to three times faster than conventional electric motors. It makes DC44 Animal the most powerful cordless vacuum.
Motorised head with carbon fibre filaments and increased power
DC44 has a motorised floor tool with two types of bristles engineered for cleaning different floor surfaces. Ultra-fine anti-static carbon fibre filaments remove fine dust from hard floors. And stiff nylon bristles remove ground-in dirt from carpets. The DC44 floor tool has twice the power of the DC35 tool, to drive the bristles deeper into the carpet pile with more force.
Dual power mode
Dual power mode gives you two power options. 20 minutes of high, constant suction for longer tasks. Or 8 minutes on Boost mode for tougher cleans.

£180 for a fancy 2nd hand dustbuster

Bought one last time this deal was up and it is fantastic. Refurb direct from Dyson was perfect. Excellent little machine and our main vacuum gets very little use now.

Thanks ordered-these go light hot cakes

Brought one last time and arrived in perfect condition. You can not compare this to a DustBuster. As good as a plug in for a quick run around and a lot more versatile. Direct from Dyson you can't go wrong.

Thanks OP, nearly ordered but then I saw that they have refurb DC35 models for £149.99 - if you don't want/need the powered brush bar! Been wanting one of these for a while, worth the wait to get it at this price.

I would say the powered brush and spec is worth the extra. I've got no pets but still use the animal bit for the stairs. It's brilliant.

It says in the description that this has twice the power of the DC35, yet within each listing the power figures are identical?

Always wanted one of these, but not sure whether it's worth paying £80 for the long nozzle as you. Can sometimes get the handheld part for £100 including additional tools.

It would come in handy for keeping on top of pet hair without having to bring the main Dyson downstairs.

Good deal but did this not go past about 20 deals ago?!!!

Great deal for what I believe is a great product. If I needed one I'd be all over this.

HUKD, you will be the death of me!!!

Just bought one in direct relation to reading this post. :-/

An all honestly, we (mostly "she") have been debating about getting a new, smaller Vacuum to replace an upright Samsung monstrosity that is dying a death. We've even taken to using my little cordless lithium 28v Milwaukee wet/dry van in the house, so hated has the underperforming Samsung behemoth become!

There were 3 left, had a quick google to see if I could glean the air watts power of my Milwaukee vac in comparison (I would imagine it to be lower, as it is a wet/dry with a special universal Hepa filter). Couldn't find that info, but did not several glowing reviews of its lightness and ease of use. Exactly the antidote the other half wants after the upright.

Dyson do returns, so if it's no good I'll return it for a corded model, as that was kind of the original plan for us.

Can anyone tell me exactly what I'm getting here? Usually I am a meticulous researcher, but I simply didn't have time as they had nearly sold out. Animals, pets, different variations of the same model etc. It's the same with a lot of companies, but I'd like to know if this model is a good or is there a

(continued!).. better one to be purchased? Thanks!

Excellent piece of kit replaced my old handheld dyson and have to say I use this more then my full size dyson.Great battery life too.

Sold out. shame

I bought one before Christmas and I can honestly say I'm far more inclined to vacuum now. Instead of undertaking vacuuming as a big chore doing multiple rooms and moving the plug from socket to socket, I now vacuum as much or as little as I feel like when the necessity and mood strikes. It's so easy just to grab and do a bit here and a bit there and not get bogged down with the tedium of vacuuming. I also love seeing the efforts of my labour in the clear dust cylinder!
I paid £229 in Argos and had a package of free tools as well, supposedly worth 50 odd quid.

The iPhone of vacuum cleaners - you decide!

Gutted!! Missed it. Saw this post last night, went to buy this morning but sold out! You snooze u lose!
