Will be surprised if this is national. Kenwood Kmix mixers were reduced to clear yesterday but store specific unfortunately. Fingers crossed I'm wrong
I really need one of these. But sounds like it might be another goose
just paid £180 at co-op...Grrrrrrrr
Nice deal if you can find one.

Sainsbury's and Morrisons are the only 2 big supermarkets who don't have a decent online shopping portal.
Over priced hoover
Cheap for a metal detector! "Hot rocks and gorts"

picked one up in london for 150 yesterday
Convertee, seriously!... We replaced our upright hoover with on of these(dc44) and I was a doubter. Never looked backed. Brilliant piece of kit. Even the kids like using it.
Lol. I took mine back to the Hudds store at aspley about a week ago coz the Mrs paid £190 for it and I found it cheaper online. There weren't any left on the shelves so u dare say u got my returned one. Enjoy
Can anyone confirm whether this is the animal model or origin? Thanks
Loads of these in the Bicester store on Thursday

Just read up and seems like animal version includes a mini motorised tool. Great if someone can confirm as Dyson's own site is not clear on this.
Great deal. It's ideal for daily use, but doesn't pick up bigger pieces easily like cat biscuits - so I use the smaller handheld for these. But the big plus for me, as also stated by a previous poster, is that the kids happily use this. Don't think mine has ever taken 5 hours to charge - presume that's first charge. After I have done the whole house I plug it in for about an hour and that's it.
Just got this DC44 for £150 in Merton, SW19, London.....
Last one off the shelf.
Bargain
Is yours origin or animal.?did it come with mini motorised tool?

And Asda is the worst!!!
Just picked one up from Cobham they had 5 left. It does not come with mini motorised head, it comes with crevice and muti tool.
Yes it is the standard digital slim edition not the animal. Got one, but not sure if I'm going to keep it as I really wanted the mini motorised tool.
picked up one in Bitterne Southampton. possibly more as only an empty box on the shop floor, they keep them out back so you have to ask for them
None in Hereford (gutted)
Seriously...crevice tool.... and no none made a comment :-) Unusual for hotukdeals.
I want so bad, but I know hubby won't let me get one
Got the last one at Maidenhead store.
Price tag showed reduced to £190 but scanned at £150.
Hopefully my 12 year old will make use of this too.

If it came with a Chasm tool then, it would have been different.
In my opinion you get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy a Dyson unless it's an Animal of a Fluffy. They are a lot more expensive but because they are a lot better.

Well it was sealed so dont know if it was yours as they did have a few but thanks either way it means someone got it even cheaper than what you would have paid for yours online and surely thats the whole point of the site informing others of deals.

In some cases you'd be right, but in the case of the DC44 model and a couple of other handheld units, the only difference is the accessories that come in the box.

I've just picked one of these up, and found the small motorszed head tool on eBay for £22.99 which then makes this the Animal version.

By the looks of a quick 'Google' search it seems like this is an earlier revision of the current V6 animal which came out sometime in 2012 (I think). Dyson obviously have simplified things a little with the current range of cordless vacuums which mainly consist of the standard V6, Animal, Total Clean, Absolute and Fluffy. The origin is slightly older I believe.

I'm guessing between revisions they have just slightly tweaked things to do with the charging bay, power output and the design (albeit very minor). Key thing as others have mentioned is obviously the separate mini motorised head that comes with it. Works really well for the ingrained pet/animal hairs that can potentially get caught deep in carpets.

Good deal if you can find it, might have a look myself in the Wandsworth and Wandsworth Bridge branches.
Cannot seem to find one of these anywhere in my area

Hmm guess I'm wrong then That's funny seeing as the other guy said he got what appeared to be the model I'm describing. Or maybe I'm just confused!
How can this be voted hot when charging time is 5.5 hours......
Just got one from Cheam store. Thanks OP
Does anyone know if these are expensive to run.
How much is the electricity usage for charging the battery for 5.5 hours?
Perfect xmas gift for the wife cheers OP

On my energy meter it draws 12w - so pretty much negligible impact on your energy bill.
