How is it charged without a docking station?

U dnt need the docking station to charge it. The docking station is merely a stand to use to hold the vaccum which is optional to use.

It comes with a charger, I believe the docking station is just a storage tool with no charging facility. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong

The dock just means you can hang it on the wall. Useless if you don’t want to do that.

Yes, the docking station can be bought separately on eBay etc and uses the existing plug charger anyway.

£159 at Tesco direct but be quick....

How would this compare to something like a V6 Animal?

I really recommend the docking station, though. It's hassle-free charging and storage, which means the 'battery' aspect of a cordless vac is pretty much a complete non-issue since it'll basically always be charged and nobody is going to vacuum for 30+ minutes at a time to actually drain the battery, especially with how easy these are to use and get the job done. You'd need a massive house or something.

Are these actually as good as people say? Never owned a dyson so not sure.

yeh they are really good, perfect when you can be bothered to get a big machine out or just need a quick clean up. probably the best for cleaning the car.
not sure how long the battery is supposed to last in the long term but mine only lasts a few mins now and warranty finished about 6 months ago, bummer,

Thanks, sounds pretty good. Do you leave yours on charge permanently? Depending on the type of battery, doing that could actually cause the batteries to slowly start losing their charge. That or they only built to last for 2 years

Don’t bother with this. Get a V8. So much better!

Yes I left the charger plugged in all the time as it stops charging when full. Its quite disappointing considering the cost of the machine. For example laptop batteries last for years but the high power drain from the dyson is what probably kills the batteries.

£60 for a new battery and the machine is very good at what it does.
