Is this a good deal or not ?

Im in the market for a good cordless vacuum which can ensure we have a clean car and picking up crumbs easily with a baby throwing food everywhere. Some reviews say it can almost replace a corded vacuum for small flats

Topcashback are doing a 5 percent cashback when using a card instore registered with topcashback.
5% cashback when you spend £50 or more...

Thus price is 284.99... Can this model be found cheaper? Or is it better to opt for the cheaper dc44 or dc35 models

The offer is valid in all UK Argos stores, for purchases between 27th Oct – 25th Dec 2014.
Gift Card purchases or In-store concessions purchases are not eligible for cashback.

Seems like a reasonable price to me. We have the DC35 and we rarely use a corded hoover now (with laminate floors everywhere). It's so light and easy. It's hung on the wall so we can just grab it and do a quick vacuum then stick it back again. We have a German Shepherd who sheds EVERYWHERE, all the time, as well as two toddlers, so we couldn't be without it now. They aren't quite so great on carpet though. We have to get the corded out for the stairs.

These are really good, i have this model and if anything were to happen to it i wouldn't hesitate to replace it. I paid more than this so its a great price. I have a little one and this is fantastic for a quick clean up before putting her down on the floor, (when she were crawling) and cleaning the trail of crumbs she leaves behind now she's mobile. I def recommend this model. heat from me.
** thought i should add i have both carpet & laminate flooring.

When I saw the photo I thought it was a basketball hoop.
As others have said, we never use the corded vac now. The powered heads do a really good job everywhere - we have wood, carpet and tiled floors, and a cat. Bought ours at Costco when it was on offer at £275 ealier this year though. Bought a bag of attachments to do all the nooks and crannies from Argos when they were clearing them out at a tenner this summer. Battery life is about 20 minutes, but you don't have to think twice about having a quick clean.
quidco has 10% cash back from curry on dyson for the next one or two days . If anyone is looking out for this hoover. potentially 30ish pounds of 299.99
