Don't forget, why not actually get something that you ACTUALLY need to take the basket over £150 rather than just getting the cheapest thing available.....

This is the cheapest qualifying item to take your basket over £150 that most people will actually find a use for.

yes, that's true... I guess you got to work out for yourself if the price is worth forgoing the mount.
Is this only battery charged ? Electric?
Great work finding that price!

Also, read a few months ago that someone rang Dyson up and they sent a wall mount free of charge. Think it was on this thread...

Yes. Because the other deal is handheld with short attachments. This Deal has the motorised head and also long extension tube so you can use it like a usual full size vacuum.

These 2 parts alone are worth more than the £40 extra in price.
other than the tools, is there any spec difference between this and the V6?
Great deal. Just purchased one. Glad i didn’t get one in Ebay for £159! Great saving

Very easy to use. Good product
How does this compare to all the other similar versions that Dyson do - is this the original, old model?

Head, Animal, etc etc V6, V7, V8 (bigger the number adds on 10mins usage time) - it get pretty confusing!

What on earth is a Dyson 59 Never heard of this one.
Bought one just before Christmas and I love it. I got a wallmount from amazon or ebay, and have also changed the rigid pipe to a purple one now as I didnt like the finish on the silver pipe. It's possibly my favourite gadget now. If you love cleaning they're great

Predecessor to the V6 it seems . "The DC59 is now known as the Dyson V6 or the Dyson V6 Animal if you add the animal specific cleaning heads, but they remain fundamentally the same machine as the DC59 reviewed below.

Only 20mins of suction per charge? Are the newer models not around about 1 hour?

Picked mine up yesterday and as we know it doesn't come with the wall mount bracket. Called up Dyson to register it (rather than do it online) and told her that I can't find a wall mount bracket in the box. She apologised and is sending one out free of charge.

SORTED!

Oh, nearly forgot. The earphones are rubbish. Better to get the ream of paper, or anything else that you actually may need/use.
