A few of the reviews on …A few of the reviews on https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dyson-DC59-Animal-Handstick-Cleaner-Purple-Grey/dp/B00GXFI6RA/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 put me off, it sounds like the charge won't last long enough to vacuum much more than one room. At this price, perhaps better to go for a corded machine like the Shark HV320 or a good old Henry?!

Vast majority of people (myself included) find that in actual use it's plenty.
20 mins doesn't sound alot but as it is powered on only when the trigger is pressed, it effectively lasts longer than 20 mins as you don't obviously leave it running when moving between area/rooms.
Honestly if you get one you won't regret it...especially at this price. Totally different (better!) experience than a corded vacuum.
Hope that makes some sort of sense?

I like the idea of cordless, especially as I could charge it during the day with my solar panels and use it in the evening. I will read up on this model further tomorrow. The Shark has a 5-year guarantee and the Dyson only 2-years, so if the battery degrades after a couple of years it could work out poor value for money.

We've had our dc59 over 3 years, use it every day and battery is still same as new...hope it continues that way!

Do V6 attachments fit this by any chance?

As far as I know yes...essentially the same machine (just renamed)

No wall mount, if an issue for you.

No wall mount, if an issue for you.

It DOES include the wall mount/charger. All stick cordless ones do. A review on Tesco posted yesterday confirms that in a (slightly dodgy!) picture.

i have this one (£164 with the discount) tesco.com/dir…905

It's brill, does the whole house with charge to spare

It has 2 tools which the cheaper does not? probably more powerful too?

or is the cheaper one as good?

Say's in the listing no wall mount included so I would be cautious

Listing error then. All dyson stick cordless have wall mount and charger.

FYI Tesco are also doing the V6 model for a net £30 more (£189 less £25 code). It includes "Additional Information. What's in the Box, Combination tool and Crevice tool. Docking Station. Charger"

Anyone confirm whether the DC59 deal includes an extra tool or two?

The battery on mine died after two years. I called them, gave them the reference number of the VC and they sent a new one free of charge within 2 working days.

I bought this cleaner on Monday and picked it up yesterday. It did not come with a wall mount.

It did come with a crevice tool.

Anyone know difference between this and the other v6 models that have been on here in recent months? Thanks

I need a new hoover as my current one has packed in and the wife wants a cordless Dyson. We were originally looking at the DC59 but a part of me, for some reason, wants to go for the V6 or a newer one but this does seem a very good price at £134.

As far as I know the V6 is just rebranding if the DC59 so same hoover

Ordered the DC59. Thanks OP. Must work harder as I'm now £134 poorer than when I woke up this morning.

Go for the one I linked above (For£164)

Or if that link doesn't work, go to tescodirect, select the one at £189 and put the £25 code in

you wont be dissapointed

Are you sure you got the one with the wand/pole?? Tesco sell a similar one without the pole.
Recent reviews on Tesco for the product posted here confirm it has wall mount (with picture evidence)

It's dependant on retailer who offers the wall mount. Tesco don't offer it.

It's strange that their reviews say it comes with it then? Could always return I guess.

I think it's strange how it's up to retailer, why don't they all come out the factory with a wall mount? Seems odd.

A lot of the reviews on the tesco site complaining they didn't get the wall mount. The wall mount itself costs about £15 on eBay

I thought they cover parts for 2 yrs only ..Err?

DC59 or V6?

We have a 10 month old baby and causes a mess, so the wife wants a cordless to clean up after the baby. Anyone recommends which cordless to get?

Thanks for that, will be helpful to others. Be interesting to know if anyone gets it with the wall mount like some of the reviews suggest though?

personally I'd go for the V6 as it definitely comes with the wall mount and a 2 extra tools which when looking on eBay cost you more than the difference in price.

By the way whats your 10 month old doing that it causes a mess I have 4 kids and at that age they only make a mess with toys which need picking up unless your one is snacking around the house.

Hi, thanks for that. I have just placed the order and it is coming into store tomorrow. I have just read through some of the other replies where people have said that it doesn't come with a wall mount. Does anyone actually know for definite whether it does? I just assumed that it did!

Definitely doesn't come with a wall mount. Got mine today. V6 seems better in my opinion

it says on the description that it does???
