This seems like a good deal for the Dyson Digital DC35 as it also comes with a free Dyson Tool Kit.

The Free Tool Kit comprises of:

Four Dyson-designed tools for a cleaner home and car interior. The dusting brush has soft bristles, whilst the stubborn dirt brush is ideal for dried-in dirt. Great deal. Been waiting for this to drop for a while now. Next question is whether it's worth paying the extra £55 for the 4 years Argos breakdown cover. I mean, how likely are these to fail?

Good deal, I don't think there is any point with the extra cover as I brought a dc08 animal and I have now had that for nearly 10 years and it's still going strong.

I'd price match at John Lewis (currently £209.95) then you'll get the 2 year warranty .

Dysons come with a 2 year warranty anyway

I'd be more weary about the batteries on these. Therefore the warranty is worth the extra IMO

Got 3 dyson devices in my house and never has one failed to work oldest one is going on 8 years

So not really worth £55 for an extra couple of years warranty .

£55 for piece of mind for additional 2 years or pay full price if it breaks down after 2 years. IMO I'll go for peace of mind

We've had our dyson for 10 years - still going strong!

How much would one of these cost in 2 years ? Refurb for £100 maybe ? Worth self insuring methinks .

Also get a £5 argos voucher if you click and reserve over £50

I bought this yesterday.
Absolutely love it.
Money well spent, just can't stop cleaning, I'm worried I'm losing my manliness!

Is it you that's weary, or the batteries?

(Presumably meant wary)

Argos exrended cover is brilliant, I have saved a lot of money over the years, definitely worth it for expensive items, doesnt matter so much if you are buying a 50 quid hoover.

Does the JL one come with the kit?

Battery sucks

I find 6 minutes on full power is enough to do a two bedroom house thoroughly as your only using power while holding the trigger and not when moving furniture or of the way etc..

I find myself looking for more things to hover so I can drain and recharge the battery fully

Mine came from the dyson outlet refurbished for £150 with 1 year warranty. It looked brand new

Love how Argos add your standard warranty to the extra one! Cheeky beggers!

All dyson come with 5 year warranty. I've had mine for 4 years and nothing went wrong not even battery and I use it everyday.
Also have a dyson cylinder over 5 years and customer service have replaced anything that's went wrong inc me bursting the hose. They are best customer service I've had pleasure of using.

How long are new Dyson machines guaranteed for?

Because of the lengths we go to in development and testing, we have utter confidence in every one of our machines. That's why we provide some of the longest guarantees in the industry. New Dyson upright and cylinder vacuum cleaners are guaranteed for five years. New handhelds and fans are guaranteed for two years.

H'mm out of stock for delivery & not available for collection (well in my area)

Just reserved one. Hopefully will get my £5 too.

Just looked at dyson website and says 2 years warranty on handhelds 5 on bigger machines.

spend 100 bucks more and get the dc59

its crazy powerful

the DC44 referb pops up on the dyson eBay outlet regularly for around £200. It's got better battery and more suckability. Still god price for the 35 if you have to have new.

That's it for £200? Don't think I will even finish the driver's seat area in 6 minutes.

£200 for a mini vac? Complete rip off!!

skeptic

Battery sucks

You are using it wrong it's the nozzle that does the sucking.
We had ours from the ebay shop as a refurb last year and with a 3 year old and a 6 month old they have been one of the best purchases ever.
If it was to go bang in the near future I think we would have to see about replacing it/fixing it for sure.

Got this on Friday and they are great! Can do most of the house on one charge and they seem to pick up plenty of dust etc! They are brilliant for stairs! The tool kit is pretty useless though the Hoover comes with the 3 attachments that you will ever need but still well worth the money for Hoover alone!

Would be interested to know more about this - can you buy an absolute wreck and get it fully rebuilt by this £79 service?

Agreed unless your the flash and you can clean whatever you need 6 minutes is poor.

website states this:

15 minutes of constant suction (13 minutes with motorised floor tool attached) or 6 minutes on full power for more difficult tasks.

Even 15 minutes is poor, perhaps as said earlier the higher end models have better battery life.

Have yet to find one that really does is well but tbh I doubt it exist and corded is still my main choice.

Original Poster

Take off the hose section and clip it on a belt like a holster. Then you are ready for any cleaning emergency.

Would this be good enough to clean a small 3 bed house? Better off buying a wired one? I like the idea of no wires
