I have the next model up (slightly more powerful) and it’s terrible. Poor quality and poor pickup too.

really have to force it back upright to get it to stay upright otherwise it falls over. Never buy this model again or maybe not another dyson either.
No HEPA filter.
Is this lighter than a Henry? I want to buy one for my mum so it's easier to carry

They are both the same weight of 6.9kg according to AO.

If you want a lightweight vacuum then consider the Dyson V8 at 2.61kg and no cord. I posted a deal up for a refurbished one at £279.99. The one they sent me was like new. Here is the deal:

Personally I was never a fan of the ergonomics of Dyson, I found them chunky and too cumbersome for certain tasks. But apparently they aren't what they used to be, and are just riding on their brand label. Way too many negative reviews for me, and the people who like them seem to be people who are simply loyal to the brand.

Thank you
I have one of the light upright dyson ball machines (can’t remember number) and I really don’t like it. Far too flimsy, is not easy to push and just generally isn’t good.

I prefer using the dyson v8 Animal.

Have an older dyson ball upright which is far better than the light one. Picks up better, easier to push around and feels more sturdy.

Couldn't agree more. I have an old DC14 animal and it's so tough, great suction and feels well made.

My dear Grandma bought this model and it is utter garbage! Barely stays upright, suction is pretty weak and you have to keep flicking a latch near the bottom as it randomly switches suction to the nozzle. Certainly wouldn't recommend this.

That's interesting as I have the model up and it's been great. It seems powerful and picks up sock fluff etc. I've not had a problem with It staying upright but i can see that it could be a problem as it is a bit of a rubbish mechanism. And the unit is rather heavy.
Anyone have this hoover with pets + carpets, I'd like to know experiences as my old Dyson is struggling to grab everything out of carpet now.

I agree. My parents have a v6 animal and it's great. Battery lasts long enough for a quick run round every few days.
