Just bought the Dyson Small Ball Animal Vacuum Cleaner for the same price on Tesco. Is this one better?
Edited by: "WildTurkey" 21st Apr
Great price!!
Went for the light ball animal in the end as it’s a newer machine and just £20 more for the additional head
I ordered by telephone from John Lewis yesterday at £179. John Lewis have agreed to price match at £149 less £3 that Tesco charge for standard delivery.
I returned last dyson i bought as it was cheap like a toy. Eventhough it had free 5 year warranty it started to fall apart in the 1st year. They not well made anymore.
It seems that the Small Ball Animal is lighter than the Light Ball Animal. Is the Light Ball Animal worth the extra £20 over the Small Ball Animal?
The light ball is the newer model and seem to have the better review. I went for the animal version for an extra £20 for the additional head which is usually £40+ separately

Yep same here.... returned mine after 2.5 months as 2 repairs needed.
Unlucky maybe but I went for a Shark and wow. Amazing bit of kit! Never a Dyson Or Meile again for me!
Good deal if you are in the market for a xenophobic vacuum cleaner.
I always buy vax, 6 year warranty and only about £100. They suck your carpet up of not fitted properly. Why spend loads on a vacuum for the wife to use? 2 vaxs in a row now over about 10 years , pointless spending anymore and 6 year warranty. Vax reach was last one, the wire reaches round all downstairs and up the stairs before having to change plugs.
We had a cordless dyson then just after 2 yrs battery went. So then we went back to our Henry. My days the suction on the Henry is amazing! We have replaced the battery on the dyson but I still use the Henry now. Give the best clean with no bother of blocking, emptying etc.

Yes we got a shark in December when it was on offer at £169. Amazingly well made, clicks together so cleanly and picks up brilliantly.
Ordered the fluffy with an extra £30 off too! So got it for £150 bargain! Thanks OP!

The two best manufacturers are Dyson and Miele .. with Dyson having the superior customer care ... Shark ... American advertising panache.
Apple and Dyson, the marmite of brands.
I've got one of these and it's barely sucking at all! Tried cleaning all the filters but no joy, do I need to do anything or should I try getting a replacement?

Both the head and wand? I assume you have realised there is a switch on the head that adjusts suction. Also if it was ok and not now could be a blockage

heat, just as our current dyson is packing up after 5yrs, this will do for us.

My V7 shares my opinions.
Which? say that the Lightball (Multi-floor or Animal) is one of the best uprights they have ever tested.
People who have had issues tend to be the most likely to put forward their experience and I think it skews the overall verdict. Those who had issues likely had faulty units. I’ve had several Dysons and never had much issue with any of them and given the raving reviews of the Light Ball version, I wouldn’t think twice about it, specially at this price.Ordered.

If you buy the Animal model, yes.
Nearly ordered last week with the AO £178 deal so jumped at this cheers
One of the last corded versions of a Dyson ever to be produced with excellent reviews and a 5 year guarantee. The price of the Light ball multi floor is less than the price of a Dyson handheld and considerably less than a cordless stick, both of which only come with a 2 year guarantee and the restrictions of run time. The light ball multi floor was £339 when it was released in 2017. HOT.

What isn’t made in China? Does not mean quality is inferior and 5 year guarantee is included.

My Light Ball Multi Floor just arrived, it was made in Malaysia.

After 2 awful Dysons I am happy to say I will never own one again.
As for Miele, won't argue there. Defo one of the best machines I had (still have, it's now a car cleaner) but the Shark, well seeing the dust it picks up after I used the Meile 3 times on the same area... And no bags to buy. Defo the American advertising panache for me
I just went yesterday to our local Tesco (Long Eaton) to try to get a multi floor cylinder Dyson which we saw online at £169. They only seemed to have them at £179 but when it scanned it was only £99.50! Great little vacuum cleaner at a brilliant price!!

‘Cheaper’ in Malaysia and Singapore.
