Dyson warranty service is second to none.

Had this model in 2014. Hose split this week, they sent a new next day.

Also managed to break the spring clip inside which changes from head to hose (for the suction (no jokes)). They are sending someone round to fix and service next week. Again, under warranty.

Dyson warranty service is second to none.

I'm hoping they service the "fluffy" I got in the sales just as well.

Wow really? Iv not had one break on me yet but thats awesome to know! Its nice seeing companys offer such long warrentys and actually stick to their word years later and honour it.. thank you for posting this!
Good vacuum, but as mentioned previously, quite heavy. Still haven't worked out how to use the hose for cleaning the stairs, it's keeps whinding back into the vacuum....?
Heavy and bulky, go for handheld serioiusly, unless you have football pitch to hover...
Picked up the DC75 with the E-Bay code the other day for £151.99 - refurbished but was like new with 2 year warranty. Well pleased.
they are sh*t, the old dyson dc07 had 1600w motor, the newer dysons hardly suck anything up
Got mine yesterday and used it this morning. Really quite compared to my vax and really good especially on out carpet
I had an older Dyson, which was way too heavy for me. I have had a Morphy Richards vacuum cleaner for a few years now which is kind of similar to a Shark, which is so much lighter. If this was light, I might have gone for it.

FYI: All corded 1s. Cordless have 2yrs.
Sebo and Miele are the best vacuums. Wait for a good deal on those people.
I've ordered mine from ao.com for 194. It's being delivered next week. Do you think they'll price match this deal.
Made in China now that’s why they brake more often! The old ones better made !
Got this in the eBay 20% sale direct from Dyson for £160. Well pleased with it

No! Get a numatic if you want a high quality vacuum that will last for years.

Check your local vacuum repair shop and let me know how many are in for repair

Yep 😁
Got this at this price and we was well impressed with the suction on out carpet. Agree a little heavy, but we have a dyson animal for upstairs so no need to carry this about. Really quiet also which was impressive.

The Light Ball was released in 2017.

On a separate note, if anyone is buying this for deep pile carpet, I would strongly recommend taking a small sample carpet to Currys/JL/etc to test it on. This Light Ball model was seemingly designed and is marketed to work well on "deep pile" carpet but when I tested it in Currys the other day, it still needed a good "jolt" to get going on it's "low suction/deep pile mode". The carpet I have is Cormar Sensation.

I had a look online and could only find a mumsnet post from someone who recommended people take a sample of their deep pile carpet to test on. We tested 2 Sharks (680ukt and 800ukt) which were ok on our deep pile swatch, noticeably easier than the dyson without reducing the suction and a lot easier/very easy when reducing the suction.

On the plus side of for the Dyson, we liked the look of it (which probably counts for not very much in the cleaning department but it did look more modern than the sharks) and also the weight being all in the ball section seemed to make it easier to carry. If we didn't have deep pile carpets that it coudn't really handle, we'd definitely have considered this.
