It’s not 30% off. This is a refurbished one. The new one with 5 years guarantee is £199
Bought a shark one from amazon that was advertised on here, wont ever be going back to dyson

I have this small ball version. Bin is too small that it constantly clogs and doesn’t empty properly. But is okay. Since then have Shark with duo floor head and is much better than this at picking up for similar price
If anyone is interested, Dyson Outlet (eBay) are selling the same product at the same price, but if you use the code PICKME5 it should bring the price down to £132.99.

At the time of this post they had twelve in stock.

Hope it helps someone.

I bought this one earlier this year from their eBay store. Says refurbished but mine came in the original box and not a spec of dust in it so seemed brand new to me. I think possibly a customer return. Having had previous Dysons this one doesn't feel as strong. Kind of feels like the handle will break at some point as there's quite a a bit of flex, although perhaps that'll help stop it breaking. The way the hose attaches to the back is a bit fiddly as well, less easy than previous ones.
Can't complain for £139 though. Beats other brands hands down

As usual though these Dyson 'refurbs' are simply new ones put in a plain box and given a shorter guarantee.

We bought a 'refurb' Small Ball Total Clean (version with loads of extra attachments) for £149 two weeks ago. Brand new, never used and free next day delivery.
I bought this two weeks ago from Very with a first customer discount code spliced to it that was £50 off due to which I got it for £153 including £4 delivery . So far cheapest for brand new one

Brilliant vacuum, bought a refurb 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Like people have mentioned here, mine was also brand new even though I bought a refurb. Mine also came with 5 years warranty instead of the 2.

No idea why you would buy a refurb for £140. A new one is £199 and comes with 3 more years guarantee.

I have this, too. It’s good in terms of suction and versatility (I have thick carpet). My main issue is the weight actually. I hoover my stairs with the main part. I’ve used a cordless V6 animal and that was a breeze in comparison.

Honestly I wouldn’t take to much notice of some of the comments. The UP22 otherwise know as a Multi floor light ball isn’t what they have, i think they are getting it confused with the similar looking DC40 an older model (from the comments) This machine has a more powerful and quieter cleaner head, better locking mechanism and thicker/stiffer body. At £200 with a 5 year guarantee it’s a complete bargain. Also scores the highest on which.
78% Which Magazine Best Buy, says it’s a great all-rounder, but could be easier to use.

I wouldn't buy it again. Get clog at the base of the machine probably once a month. The bend radius is to tight anything small and straight gets lodged and then dust builds up. Emptying is a full disassemble. The capacity is just enough. The brush bar seems to be stopped very easily. The cord is long but there isnt really enough room on the back for it. I'll keep it until it breaks but I'd chose another in the future

I have this Dyson, not sure if these have belts , but the brush roller caught some thread off the carpet, which caused a burning smell coming from the motor and the brush roller stopped spinning now.

This one is pretty light compared to larger ones. The dust compartment isn't huge so definitely have to empty it more often than my larger previous one, no big deal though. It's also noticeably quieter than my older one. I think this might be the same as all of them now as I think they had to drop the power a bit to meet EU rules on power consumption

It's not Hoover, it's Dyson.
I have one of these and it's a good machine.... But as with probably all Dyson uprights, emptying the canister makes a right old mess as the dirt gets stuck and dust goes everywhere ... Needs to be done outside. They really should sort that....
The bulid quality of these is terrible. Bought a refurbed one 2 year ago and have had it repaired 4 times since with parts breaking or snapping off

I've always done it straight in the dustbin outside. I think that's the same for all vacuums though
Dyson used to be very good in the early days, now its junk that breaks too easily

Not really, try the shark, much cheaper, new player in town. Same price and new and much powerful. It is easier to do the stairs. Much better than Gtech (waste of money).
I remember when I first tried Dyson when it was a newbie, but now it is just old technology but at inflated price.

I still have my dyson animal upright with cellotape for the hose lol as it passed its 5 years warranty. I have replaced it like 3 times over the first 5 years, lucky it is covered, but then it is expensive.

I mean more in terms of they haven't improved the emptying of the bins. A mechanism to push out the dirt is needed.

Which shark do you recommend over the Dyson.

My parents need one for their new house and needs to be light but obviously best or equal the Dyson....

Ah right. Yes I guess the area around the turbine bit in the middle isn't very wide so does take a bit of a shake or even fully removing to get it all out.
Don't waste your money buy a Shark, I've had both

Which shark?

amazon.co.uk/Sha…Q==

But maybe wait for it to come back down in price a bit again. It was £119.99 on black Friday plus £10 voucher if you spend over £100 So cost me 109.99
We had one of these that packed in after 12 months. The brush bar went caput so now it's in the garage used only for hoovering the car. On a side note we replaced it with the Shark Upright and only then did I realise how garbage the Dyson was at lifting dust out of the carpet. The emptying design is pretty stupid also as others have said.

Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner [NV601UKT
i saw the youtubes and read review, you can take the cannister out and carry it out, so it is lighten and easy to vacuum and you still have the power to suck the rubbish and hairs too lol biggest problem that Gtech cannot do and not so powerful like VAX to suck the whole rug up lol
I got it for £119.99 when it was not so popular, mid year, introductory price. you can wait for price drop.

I bought one about a year ago. Came as brand new. Wasn't a mark on it and had new everything. I think it might be a way so that they can sell them cheaper without breaching their contract with retailers

i dont use stick as it is for a few rooms, and I am wary about them. You have to spend a fortune for a good battery and suction.

i think Dyson is not as good as it once were is because they do not want waste anymore energy or R&D on upright version but focus on cordless which is silly as UK has big houses. I can see why they moved to Singapore as Asia loves UK brand and the homes are mainly flat and small, so it is fine for cordless vacuum. Therefore all these upright are very old models they are trying very hard to get rid off. Shame and sad. Killing off their own brand.

I follow most people’s comments and would recommend a shark over a dyson. Dyson lost their way over a decade ago and now their hoovers are just poorly made with lots of marketing w**k to sell them.

I’m just waiting for my ancient Vax to die before jumping to team shark.
