Any opinions on this refurbed V6 Absolute (1-year guarantee) vs. brand new …Any opinions on this refurbed V6 Absolute (1-year guarantee) vs. brand new V6 (2-year guarantee)?Ordered the V6 from Tesco yesterday for £164 didn't know if I should cancel or not?Is the only real difference the additional allergen filter and the additional tools (two I think)?

Tesco deal is good. Which score the v6 75% vs v6 absolute 78%.

Extract from the Which review:

The V6 Absolute is the most expensive of the V6 range. At its core, the machine is the same as the entry-level V6 model, which costs a lot less, but it comes with several extras to justify the higher price. These include a powered turbo tool that’s claimed to be 150% more powerful than the basic model, a specialist hard-floor tool, and extra filtration.

You can convert it into a handheld vacuum and it comes with upholstery, pet hair and crevice tools, all designed to help you clean quickly and easily, especially into awkward spaces.

The capacity is 0.3 litres, which is quite typical of a cordless vacuum cleaner, and the run time is 20 minutes (six minutes on turbo mode). This is a bit short compared with rivals - the newer V8 model can last up to 40 minutes. It also has a trigger-on button, which means you need to hold it down continually for it to work.

You can’t stand this model up on its own, as with some cordless vacuum cleaners, but it does come with a wall-mounted charging station for easy storage.

V6 absolute refurbished going strong since Feb this year. Fab piece of kit! Absolute got hepa filter and most powerful carpet brush. If you've got hard floors in your house go for total clean.

Nope. I just feel sorry for you now.
Can anyone confirm if DC28C has one of the highest suction power in the dyson vac fam.. my DC50(upright vac)which seems bigger only has 84aW while DC28C has 257aW... coz of the great suction power difference,is DC28C much much more powerful than DC50 then ??
I'd go for a refurb absolute over a new V6, as the tools are much better, and they give more power. I got a refurb absolute last year and it was perfect, and I use it far more than I expected.

The DC50 has 140aw buddy, not sure where you've seen 84aw but that's not right. DC50 is a good model but bear in mind that its compact - so reaching up the stairs etc is a pain in the ass and the bin need empyign quite regularly. It's designed for people who want a light weight upright and have storage issues. If you've got mainly carpets with loads of pets then it's probably not the model for you.

The cylinder models do have higher aw as the airflow has further to travel from the motor, hence that why they're usually more powerful. In real life terms, there's very little difference and it's down to whether or not you prefer an upright or a cylinder. If you've always had one or the other, I'd stick with what you know as many people don't find it easy to switch and usually end up hating it when they do as they just can't get on with it.

I can't remember the aw figs exactly, but the dc75 (cinetic big ball) has the highest aw on the current range. If you can find and older dc41 (pre EU energy regs) then this is the most powerful Dyson ball...old model now though so you're unlikely to find a new one.

Hope this helps.
Great find.

However, do be aware that refurbished items on the eBay Dyson Outlet shop are a complete lottery: sometimes you get a brand new device, sometimes you get a well used one (scratches, dents, pet smells etc). They seem to lack quality checks when they send items, and those are not graded.

I am talking from my own experience of having ordered from them probably 4 or 5 times. Most of the time, they resolved the issue (new parts sent or whole replacement) or provided a refund, but it can be time consuming.

On my last order of a refurbished V8 Animal a couple of weeks ago, first device sent was well used: pet smell, filter not new, several dents and scratches on wand etc.
Replacement device was new.

- You would get 2 year warranty on the new one from Tesco, vs. 1 year warranty on the refurbished one.
- The motorised brush on the V6 Absolute would be a bit better/wider and direct drive (so smaller edge). However, don't believe the marketing hype from Dyson about the "150% more efficient head" etc.
- Post motor HEPA filter is a nice to have, but I had Dyson devices without, and never noticed much dust/smell coming out of the motor. My V6 Absolute post motor filter is still completely white after 1 year of use, so probably doesn't do much.
- The V6 Absolute would have a static hard floor tool (not motorised), which is very basic. Normal motorised tool would work fine
Thanks Ordered DC50. HOT

Anyone have any experience of returns process with Dyson Ebay?

We heavily use ours so if breaks would be interested to know if they are good

Thanks

Dyson eBay is basically Dyson, so the warranty process would be exactly the same. You would just contact Dyson to raise a warranty issue.
Bought v6 absolute refurbished. Big problems with charging, would only work 5 min, returned and bought a new one total care. On call from Dyson £20 will be reduced
Been thinking of grabbing one of these cordless vacs which one is best, Absolute, Animal or Fluffy.

Which one offers better suction and power

Which one offers better attachments

We have hard surface floors down stairs with a rug, carpeted stairs, landing and bedrooms.

Plus mans best friend the mut!!
