Hello all,

I think this may be my first post but been on here a long time

When looking through the V10 animal refurb post i went onto the website to compare accessories and found this total clean on their site

It doesn't always show up in a search but is on there.

I was just about to buy the animal and the 55 quid soft roller head when i found this which seems better value if you need both heads, some additional accessories also and a 2 year guarantee

1.6% back on Quidco as well

Powerful suction

The Dyson Cyclone V10 Total Clean Cordless Vacuum Cleaner delivers a powerful performance, combined with the versatility of a cordless vacuum cleaner. The fade-free power ensures that you can clean floors throughout your home with confidence.

Ideal for both hard floors and carpets, the V10 can remove 25% more dirt than the Dyson V8 model. Choose the appropriate head attachment to suit different cleaning jobs around your home.

Hygienic performance

If you suffer from allergies, it's important to keep the air in your home as clean as possible. The V10 features a fully-sealed filtration system to trap 99.97% of particles, ensuring cleaner air throughout your home.

When the time comes to empty the bin, the 'point and shoot' mechanism makes it easy to eject the dust and debris into a bin without having to touch it.

Wall-mounted docking station

You can easily store and recharge the vacuum cleaner when not in use using the wall-mounted docking station. This ensures that the V10 is always ready whenever you need to clean your home.

Clean even more surfaces throughout your home with a tool kit for your vacuum cleaner, or choose from one of the specialised floorheads in our range.

Please note: Stated runtime applies in suction mode 1 with a non-motorized tool attached.

I knew I'd find you here - you turn up faster to a Dyson deal than Batman does to the Bat Signal

Guys beware, this guy has a warehouse full of these V9 Wet Dreames. He's definitely getting a cut of their sales and should be banned. He even posted about his V9 on a Dyson toy vacuum cleaner deal for children... (...)

Where you getting the £100 reduction from?
It’s always been £379....
Looks a good saving - have some heat...better options around IMO but for the saving for Dyson fans looks decent.

Marketing gimmick but I guess it is because it is price matched!
Voted hot - purchased last Friday, delivered today. Dyson have system issues apparently which meant they couldn't deliver next day. Really happy with the performance even on its lowest setting it pulled up loads of dog/cat hair from the carpets and run time meant we completed the whole 3 bed house on single charge. Cheapest around as they price matched Currys

Awesome price , for a awesome machine , normally £479 , but not sure if just a promo or the new standard price for it
Nice, been waiting for a v10 total clean deal. £300 refurb missed out on. £370 brand new good deal
I have the V8 model, is this really enough of a upgrade over the V8?
Is this the cheapest it's been? Usually see it around £400

Yes and no , it’s 20% more powerful and has a 40% bigger bin and 60m run time , and it gives the perfomance of a full size vac , if you’re v8 is doing you just fine then don’t upgrade , however if you’re looking to upgrade then this is an absolute monster of a machine

I probably wouldn’t bother going from a v8 to a v10. I’m coming up from a v6 and was gunna go v8 or v10. Was waiting for a v10 deal like this to come up
Yeah tbh the V8 has been driving me mad with its poor suction until I realised to clean the filters lol, it’s working fully again

I’ll let you know tomorrow. Recently bought a bigger house and struggling with the battery life. I bought mine as a Dyson refurb so the battery probably doesn’t last the full 20 mins either. Keeps clogging up. Have cleaned the filters etc. But think it’s just time to buy a new one

To be fair, I paid £170 for it Black Friday quite a few years ago, has done me well. Corded Dyson is utterly useless, having to dig it out to finish jobs that V6 battery doesn’t quite finish off. I do start the bedroom carpet with my fingers crossed now.
adzzzz07/04/2020 19:46

It’s not that I believe it.... I know it!

I’ve tried both, and performance wise there is nothing in it at all.... same battery life, same suction, it’s just the Dreame V9 feels like a more premium product.

You'll need the 2 year warranty. I've owned one of these since Oct 2018 and within the first year the battery was so poor that on full boost with no motorised head on it lasts for between 6-8 seconds after a full 24hr charge and brand new filter.

And for battery problems you can't do the online repair process - you have to ring and wait and wait and wait. I still haven't had it fixed as I've given up the few times I've tried to get through. This deal has reminded me to try again.

I didn't add that price in, it was just there after i hit submit, just seemed a good deal based on above 1200 heat for the V10 Animal version that's a refurb with 1 year warranty and the price of the extras comes to more than £100 (if you need them of course. I definitely need the soft roller)

So 45 quid for 3 extra accessories and the extra year guarantee plus brand new felt like a deal to me (i know some are getting the 2 years on the refurb stock but not all).

Not convinced it's always been £379 though

But isnt the aim of this site being if this particular product is a deal? For those that may not want to Dreame V9?

Personally I'm unlikely to buy anything until my current corded Dyson breaks, as much as I'd like a cordless I just can't bring myself to replace something that works perfectly well, even if its less convenient.

However, when I do I will definitely be looking at a the Dreame V9 or something similar. Everything I've read suggests you're right, why pay double just for the Dyson name. Its also very telling that Dyson did away with their 5 year gaurantees and switched to 2 years.

It probably should be just about whether something is a good deal, but often isn't. How often do you see somebody say a deal for a film is cold because they thought the film was rubbish, something entirely subjective anyway.

I don't see the harm in discussing alternative products, it shouldn't be a reason to vote cold ofcourse, if this is a better price than this is usually sold for then its hot regardless in my opinion.

50% of Dysons suffer some kind of problem or breakage within 5 years, so chances are you’ll be outwith the warranty.

I think there are many other hoovers (verb) that are better than a Dyson, but the Brits are somewhat tunnel visioned and purchase over priced Dysons “because it’s a Dyson”.

With respect to the hoover (verb) you mention, I agree they are well reviewed, and offer much better value than Dysons, but what put me off was the power button having to be continually pressed, and the non-easy removable battery, you have to charge at the head....both were a no go for me.

I went with a Shark, with an almost equal price point.

“Based on the latest survey results, Consumer Reports estimates that close to half of Dyson stick vacuums will develop problems or break within five years, compared with around a quarter of the stick vacuums from Shark, the most reliable brand for this type.

For Dyson, the statistics translate to a rating of 2 out of 10 for predicted reliability, in the Poor zone.”
