It's still £129.99 on the Dyson website. They're shipping new ones with 2 years warranty despite it saying they're refurbished. I got one last week.

New or recertified ?
Is this new or refurbished ??
I got the V6 Trigger for Xmas can you fit the long tube onto it?
It was sold as "refurb" but in new condition. I bought 2. One for us and one for my parents. I tested the batteries with a timer. Both worked for 21 mins.

I bought one refurb V6 for only £76 with eBay code from them . Bought another eBay new (Grey EU model, private sale, including postage and unopened, but without warranty ) for £91 from eBay . Both work perfectly .

When was this Sam? Been a while since dyson outlet was part of the offers. Might have to wait for that. Shame Very doesn’t sell V6 anymore as I got 20% that apparently excludes electricals, apple etc but in fact just checked and works on absolutely everything.

I applied 25 % eBay discount code to their normal price. Been a while now. But if you look in eBay lots of grey imports with non UK plug, for cheap. All the UK switch models are more expensive than EU switch models .

Dry run without work lasts you that time. Have it working on load and report back
I have one of those, broken and not going to fix again. Lasted 3 years, dropped it once battery gone, replaced it, pad motor died, replaced the pad the battery died again.

Refurbished though isn't it?
Still on the outlet at 129.99 with two year warranty and the machine is new

These machines going to Curry's must be refurbished models too. A Dyson representative told me they no longer make the V6 and it isn't actually sold actively in stores anymore. The refurbished ones on Dyson outlet are brand new practically, I have purchased one myself and can say the box looked brand new and nothing in the box had been opened before.

Yep, I got one, every component looked brand new, although the box was damaged, which is the reason I think it found itself under a refurb sale

Fair enough! Good to have first hand experience.
I previously posted the deal from Dyson directly I can vouch that they are new boxed and worth the money 💰.

At £65 for another 6 minutes there was no chance I would.

Non OEM cost me about 30 quid a year ago so probably cheaper now.

I hope you have decent home insurance.
The battery on ours went a week before the two year warranty ran out. Dyson customer service were great and replaced it for free.

If you google it it’s quite a common complaint- and a replacement battery is £60 from dyson (£40 on amazon). So make you get one with a good warranty (and register it!).
Are these worth it still or is it worth paying the extra for a V7 or the Shark currently at £199?

Do you only get 6 minutes on these ? I know the suction is useless but didn't know they died so quick.
My v10 lasts an hour on low, 25 minutes on medium which is much more powerful than a v6 and on high i get about 9 minutes which is very powerful i never use that setting

On standard settings, to start off with I was getting up to 20 minutes. If you put it into max it's up to 6 minutes.

With some deeper carpets and rugs I tend to use max. And if I do. I had to charge the thing, typically 3x to get a couple of rooms done.

God help you of you have a animal that sheds fur.

We largely have wooden floors. For which this was perfect. But anything fairly deep the battery was too limited when on max.

As time went on, like most batteries, even with decent cycling, the charge dissipated too rapidly. I have predominantly used Dyson, but now use shark. Each have pros. But on a cost benefit. Shark made more sense overall.

I hope that helps.

Yes nice to hear some real life experience.
We can use the v10 on medium which is more than enough power for our carpets and get around 25 minutes which is enough to hoover our whole 3 bed house just about, the downside is obviously it cost us £450 about 18 months ago.
Im glad the shark is also adequate at a much lower price, how long does that last on carpets ? Cheers

The IF200UK lasts for approximately 10 minutes on max settings for carpets.

The NV601 is corded. But generally very able. I use both, for different purposes.
Quidco is 6% on these
worth buying sfter a cordless for light cleaning ? We have a large corded shark for carpets but downstairs is all laminate and we have 2 cats leaving hair and biscuts all over. Looking for something cheap for them 10 min whip arounds rather than having to get out the shark which is great for deep cleaning
