I seen this for £139 earlier today but that has now expired. I checked Dysons other items and noticed that there were some available at £129. Not sure if there is any difference in the refurbishment grade that accounts for the price difference.

Seems to review very well and is well priced compared to its normal price.

I picked this up a few weeks ago, was sent a brand new one and got the 2 year warranty when I registered it, pretty impressed for the cash.

I was thinking the same. The animal has a mini motorised head attachment with it. Other than that they are the same.

Is it worth to invest £30 more on the motorised unit?

Sorry. My mistake. The fluffy has a mini motorised head and a fluffy head. See pic.

If these are important to you it's cheaper to buy the fluffy than to get the standard V6 and buy the attachments separately.
Bought as my Vax blade 32v has packed in yet again, hope this fares better

Thanks for the info..(highfive)
Will this good at a flat with wooden floors and a couple of rugs please?
Glad I waited, bought for £103
Great price for cordless dyson, lots of models to choose from, direct from the manufacturer with warranty, some with 2 year warranties
The price is £129.99 if you don't want to click the link.
Best off waiting for the V6 Animal to come back in stock which is only a tenner more
I would have waited for the animal but had used the 20% discount to get this for 103 which i thought was worth it. Never the less this is going for 189 at argos so still a decent deal

What 20% discount??????
How do you get 20 percent discount
eBay had 20% off all purchases made between mid day and 6pm on the 28th December.
The animal is back in stock but almost gone!
This is £99.99 on ALDI website

Is the Animal significantly better than this model?

I'm looking at a V6, but a bit in the air as to which model I should pluck for.

I was looking at the DC59 on sale in Tesco which is currently £159 down from £259, but the difference isn't very clear.
Think the DC59 is the older version of the V6. The Animal part refers to the accessories included. Think that one comes with a brush head designed for hair.

I've always found Vax stuff poor imitations of Dyson stuff. Never had one of their products last more than a couple of years, where-as the Dyson we bought about 7 years ago is still going strong.
Is this any different to the tesco deal (which I picked up for £90 last week) tesco.com/dir…ers?
I bought this with last weeks 20% discount code with eBay bargain for £103
How does this compare with the dc35 in terms. Of. Power and suction??
I got this with the eBay 20 off and I must say this little beast is impressive, only wish its battery would lasted longer, this could have easily replaced the mains powered cleaner.

Here's a tip, don't be fooled by it being battery thinking you'll be able to stop the motorised brush with your fingers. In an act of stupidity I did this last week and it nearly took my finger off.

Obviously this wont have the grunt of a mains voltage Dyson but its not bad at all and the motoried head does a reasonable job even on thicker carpets.
I got this last week using the 20% ebay discount. Love it. Cannot go wrong for 100 quid. I ordered it mostly to use in the car but it also works great on my carpets and hard floor. Going to bin my old Hoover now as no longer needed.

I have a DC59 animal and a V8 absolute - I wouldn't recommend the DC59 and was skeptical about whether the V8 would be any better but it is more powerful to the point where we can use it to vacuum rugs that were previously left for the mains vacuum cleaner. The motorised heads on the V8 are a world apart and can handle quite 'shaggy' rugs which the DC59 heads would never cope with. Add to that the far better dust release mechanism on the V8 than on the DC59 it is all round a much better cleaner.

I have one of these the fluffy head is brilliant on hard floors but rubbish on carpets and rugs as it does not pick up dirt/dust on these , my fluffy comes with carpet head not sure if this on e for £129 does bit you can buy separate
ordered the total clean, thanks op

I have given up on Vax, had 5 different vaccums from them in the space of 4 years and all have given up on me. I hear what you say, they are just so cheaply made compared to the Dyson. To be fair though Vax customer service was always spot on and replaced with minimal fuss.

Just sell the origin battery and use half of the price to buy a 3rd party battery. It can last for 40 minutes +
