Is that correct? The actual motor assembly is the same across all v6? Is there a simple comparison of the various products?

For anybody interested, this is the base model but strictly speaking the only difference between this and the many other packages, is the attachments you receive, with the exception of the 'Absolute' model, which also features a 'post-motor filter to capture allergens'.

I've noted down the basic package contents for the various v6 packages on sale right now. Might be useful to someone:

Dyson cordless v6:
- Charger
- Cradle
- Crevice Tool
- Combination Tool
- Motorised floor tool

Animal
+ Mini Motorised head

Animal Plus
+ Mini Motorised head
+ Stubborn dirt brush

Fluffy
+ Mini Motorised head
+ Soft roller Cleaner head.

Total Clean
+ Mini Motorised head
+ Soft roller Cleaner head.

Absolute
+ Post-motor filter to capture allergens
+ Mini Motorised head
+ Hard Floor tool with suction control

Oh, and the V7 models add another 10 minutes run time, and '75% increase in power' to the V6 model's run time of 20 minutes, and the V8 takes that to a 40 minute run time, and a '150% increase in power' compared to the V6.

Is this the mid range one?
Price is 169.99. Whatsapp alert said 129.99???
yea, thats what i thought too ?
kinda misleading that, on whatspp it said £129.99
What's going on with the price?
Still not convinced on these rechargeable hoovers.

Aren't they just a duster-buster with a drainpipe fitted?

I think the batteries are the same as a cordless drill so I'm curious how long you can hoover for with one before it runs out?

I've had one for years. Does about 18-20 minutes which is enough to do the what I'm looking for it to do. The newer ones V7 and V8 last a bit longer again. I recently upgraded my old handheld one to the V6 and it's brilliant. If you have hard floors I would recommend the basic hard floor took over the fluffy head. Cheaper too.
Don't forget cashback. 7% with quidco, 7.35% with top cash back. That's almost £12.50 too sweeten the deal. Good find.
I'm just about to order the dyson v6 fluffy but spotted the v6 animal?.... wood floors throughout downstairs/carpet stairs and all upstairs..... but we've got a gorgeous lab that likes to shed his own body weight in hair on a daily basis so need something reliable in that dept but also something powerful enough for carpets.... can anyone offer advice please if they have either model, before I buy, I'd be very much grateful, ta muchly xx
Got a quite expensive Vax stick one not too long ago but I spend more time cleaning the dog hairs off the brush (as it just collects on it) than I do actually hoovering with the thing!
Great product, and good battery life

The fluffy is for hard floors, and the animal comes with an additional small motorised brush head which is more useful for pets - I have an upright dyson too and already have the small motorised head so I got the 'normal' V6 as the tools are interchangeable since 2015 I think.
Glitch from what's app HUKD
What's app notification £40 misleading. Thanks for that. 👎🏻
£129?
How do I set up WhatsApp notifications...?

I have a total clean which has the fluffy head as well as standard head and small motorised head. It's fabulous. One of the other ladies on here got it specifically for pet hair and loves it. I don't really like the fluffy head on carpets, just hard floors
I have hardwood floors as well. The v6 total clean is £219.99 on their ebay refurb outlet ebay.co.uk/itm…928. Is it worth the extra or is the v6 absolute better (£240 on amazon) ? any suggestions

These are brilliant, used to have the dyson but its a fair weight. These are very light and last about 20 mins, which is fine. Means it takes a charge to do the house but so much easier. We bought the v6 fluffy from costco as our dyson ball packed up after 12 years usage - think it was about £200

I’ve had one about a year unless you have a small flat it’s not really a replacement for a full hoover. Maybe if you rotate what rooms you do. I use it for quick cleans it’s so much easier than dragging out our full sized one and running cords etc.

I have the basic v6 for a year now and I would highly recommend. It replaced the older 'big' vacuum cleaner, it does the job as good, it does the whole 3 bed house in one go, great for stairs, it last about 25 min in one go at the lower speed setting, it has two speeds the higher speed setting is very powerful and I rarely use it. As far as I'm aware the v7 and v8, performance wise, have better battery life but that's about it really. Hope this helps.
which is the best vaccum around 100 pound price
portable? cordless?
Got this for £152.99 if you sign up as a new customer ! Got a further 10% off .. Wife's Xmas present sorted

Thanks for that! Do you know if the soft roller on the total clean is better than hard floor tool on the absolute?

I need something for hard floors as well as carpets and can't pick between the two. From what I'm seeing the total clean tool is supposed to be better and more expensive

Sorry buddy, don't have any experience with the soft roller. Hopefully someone on here will be able to comment.

I'm getting the missus a dustpan for xmas this year.
I got her the brush last year but I'm fed up watching her sweep stuff into her hand.
I bought this one a couple of weeks ago direct from Dyson for £179 and it is brilliant

Sorry, but couldn't disagree more. We've had our V6 Fluffy for just over two years in a large 4-bed detached and we can just about vacuum the whole house on a single charge (we have to recharge for the final room). The house has a mix of carpet, tiles and wooden floors, It was originally bought to supplement our regular Dyson vacuum, but that's now been relegated to the garage as a back-up and the V6 is our main vacuum cleaner.

The v6 absolute doesn't come with the fluffy head it comes with hard floor head. If you order through dyson and say you are a return customer they may knock £20 off and give you free tools. They did with me. I wanted the fluffy head so the absolute was no good for me. The fouffynhaed from total clean doesn't fit the absolute so you can't buy it as an additional item so far as I'm aware

Dyson should do it for same price brand new. Give them a call. Mine was £249 but they knocked £20 off when I called and gave me six free tools. I preferred this to absolute due to fluffy head which I have to say is amazing

Not sure how you manage that we can just about do downstairs in a 3 bed semi, so we keep the old one upstairs.

Just spoke to them, they did say they recommend the fluffy head of the total clean compared to the hard floor tool of the absolute. They offered £20 off the total clean price and toolkit which makes it £380 hence £220 on ebay refurb still looks like a top deal to me hence thinking of going for that one. Just cant justify the extra £100 for the v8 absolute on their ebay refurb outlet
£380 for the total clean?? It should be £249 or thereabouts?
I was going to get the v8 but having researched it I don't think it's worth the extra £250 for the fancy emptying bin and slightly better motor and charge. I have a huge house and mines never run out half way through. You tend to not do whole house at once though as it's so handy just to do rooms as they need them
Just looked at dyson and see they've bumped price up. Hold off as it will likely be down again soon. They change their prices loads. It was £249 last week. I'd not pay £399 for it.
