I could be mistaken, but with each generation of Dyson's range of hand held vacuums the difference tend to be branding or a different combination of accessories in the box.

I'm not sure of the difference.... It's a great vac cleaner...

For those not close to a Costco... Dyson have it for £10 more...with free postage...

yeah, the dc59 is the same as the v6, the difference in each name is the set of accesories you get. Dont ignore the priceier sets though, the motorised brushbars are very good.

So is there no difference in the motor storage capacity etc of the normal v6 , absolute or animal ?

can I edit?

I have the v6 and the absolute...the absolute blows (or sucks) the v6 out of the water

the absolute is the same motor and has the same suction power. however, has a better head.

it also has an extra filter than gets rid of fine particles in the air expelled from the unit... in my opinion not useful unless you have allergies and is more to get clogged, reducing performance over time.

I have the standard v6 and im more than happy with it. I haven't used the more the more powerful head on the absolute for comparison unfortunately.

No difference in motor on at of the V6's. It's about the accessories. The absolute has a different brush head, so does v6 animal. I know this because I spoke direct to a Dyson rep who said the only variation in the V6 models if the brush heads and accessories.

Is this v6 animal?

Clearly, you don't know. Not all V6 models have the same motor block, and some like the Absolute have a post-motor filter...

It also makes the V6 Absolute significantly quieter than the standard V6 or animal models.

Does anyone know the difference between this and the Handheld DC58. the body looks same??

Is the V6 a DC58 with extra accessories? DC58 seems to be £220

I contacted Dyson, asking them the difference. They said there is no difference in the body. It is just the collection of attachments that vary. Basically the motorised heads etc, cost a fair bit.

I had the standard V6, and it was amazing, and i ran it on max power most of the time.

Check out this other thread: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dyson-v6-accs-kit-2yr-warranty-next-day-delivery-179-99-dyson-2384994

It says it has it on for £179 + an accessory bag

Are there any different beside the heads among all these V6 models? Would the normal Corded DC19 has stronger suction that this? I am actually looking for something to have strong suction that can clean the dust mites on mattress, don't really mind whether is corded or cordless...

There is a difference in the body between a standard V6 and an Absolute version, read previous posts. Also, the Absolute version has specific attachments that are not compatible with other models, such as the 50w motorised floor head.
