Good price but why they changed from those pretty colours to this …Good price but why they changed from those pretty colours to this boring, bland white? I mean design and aesthetics were a big part of Duson, but it seems recently they make dull and badic colours specifically for UK market? but they keep making nicer ones for international markets.(another example being bladeless fans only ugly white for UK,many options elsewhere)

Can't say I gave the colour of our Dyson a second thought. It's the performance that matters.

Worst hoover ever. Constantly having to pull apart and repair mine.

You must of got a Chinese knock off, this is a Dyson

Well maybe it doesn’t matter to you but design always been a huge part of Dyson products.
both performance and aesthetics matter equally.
I bought the DC58 Animal handheld about a year ago, wondering if I should buy this too... or can I buy the long pipe/head separately?
hi is there any voucher code Tesco direct?
Thanks a lot

Great find.I've had one of these a couple of years. We will never tho back to a corded one. They are just so easy to use.

Disagree. They would never have used orange and purple if that was the case.

You should have bought a Dyson instead of a Hoover

For 20 minutes anyway
Thinking about getting the Fluffy. Anyone knows if there has been a better price than £179? Could probably wait until prime day, or until another 20% discount at dysonoutlet ebay store (but it will be refurbished rather than used), but am not sure if there will be a better offer...
Thanks !
Just go for fluffy one...Been wait for a while and need a lot clean up before twin babies "swipe" the floor!!
Anyone got the Animal Extra? Is it worth it over the standard Animal.

I havd DC59 (same as V6 with extra attachments) and it's purple+chrome, very stylish.
I'd never buy this V6 because the design is so ugly and looks like low quality chinese models.
these were available in various colours, all sleek and pretty,red+chrome,blue+chrome,purple+chrome..they are still available on Dyson international..but for UK it seems they have made everything just plain ugly white.at last that's the case with their blade-less fans.they looked stunning but now just like any other ghetto £20 fan.maybe they think UK people don't care about nice looking things?

The design as in how the product 'looks' has never been of importance to Dyson - it's always been about functionality over looks.

You can get the fans in other colours if you check the various retailers. Some models are sold exclusively through through different channels.
That being said, I do think the white on it looks a bit pants.

about the fans..I contacted Dyson and they said they now only make white ones for UK market,so unless you can find unsold stock from past,or import it,it's going to be only white..boring and un-attractive.
other markets still get choice of 3 colours including white but not here.

I completely disagree with you on saying design has never been of importance to Dyson, thats clearly 100% false! design is 50% of ALL Dyson products, they even have a slogan about design on their website..you probably mistaking Dyson with brands like Miele that only focus of functionality and reliability and not looks and design.

That's not right at all. Dyson always try to make their products look funky.
I have one of these. On "Max" mode (which you really need to use as the Normal mode is rank), you get 7 (seven) minutes of use when fully charged. It's always clogging up too. Don't waste your money.

I've never vacuumed for longer than that in my life. Maybe my house is small.
Had this for a few months now. Very handy. You have to empty it regularly by dismantling it. I use a compressed air line to blow out the muck. Run time is maximum 5 to 10 minutes with the big powered head. Takes 2 hours to charge back up.
I concur.

Dyson's are pants.

Love our Miele. Mother in law has a Shark and I have to say that's a truly fantastic bit of kit.

These have always felt like cheap kids toys to me.
I got one of these last year and we love it (although it’s well suited to our little flat!).

A little tip if you get one of these; call dyson to register it, and just ask if they sell the wall mount. Apparently Tesco don’t include these as standard to make it cheaper than other retailers, and the nice dyson lady sent me one for free!
Got mine last year for £129, but this is a good price. Love mine!
Bought this vacuum during a previous deal on here. Massively overrated dies really quickly, can’t be used whilst plugged into mains, very frustrating and returned.
Bought mine too early
Perfect just what my mum was asking for. Had £60 worth of gift cards to use so happy days.

when i was 6, i used to push one like this around in my bedroom, pretending it was a trunk and i was an elephant. when i was 13 i’d pretend it sarah o’donnell from my maths class.

Equally? You value the aesthetic of your vacuum as much as it's ability to clean?

I like a cool bit of kit as much as the next man, but I think you've taken it too far

Don’t quote me for that,that’s Dyson’s vision.
and I support it.

I used to work for Dyson. I heard it straight from James Dyson's mouth. Functionality is always paramount over looks.

Design as in functionality, yes. Looks, no. I used to work for them and I heard first hand James Dyson saying this himself.
