Got one of these with the eBay 20% off offer around Christmas. What they sent me appeared to be mint condition with a two year guarantee. YMMV.

I got the same deal, appeared brand new but plain packaged as a refurb product and the paperwork stated 1 year guarantee.

Was the 20% off a code or a site wide offer?

Do you get the warranty with Dyson directly?

Any feedback on how this performs on hard floors and carpet? Finally how long does the battery last?

Thank you!
I've currently got the dc44 and it's really poor on hard floors. Has this got the latest "fluffy" head for hard floors?

You can get it as an after-market part for around £60-70.

Thanks. Will it fit this. I doesn't work on my dc44 i've read
Brilliant kit. Bought one for mummsie and she's still raving after a year and a half.
Got one last time this deal was on about three weeks ago, I think it's brand new in original box with shrink wrap and 2 years warranty. Works great just like what they stated battery last around 16mins and 6 mins with Turbo on.

Ah, OK - there are adapters but if there isn't one for the DC44 then I guess you're stuck. It needs an electrical connection with the hand unit.
I always use Henry.

I thought the motorized head already on this V6 handles hard floors fine?

In general it's good for fine debris but bits of gravel or say, coffee beans and twigs are a bit too big and they get pushed out of the way. The 'fluffy' head gathers them all in very effectively before sucking them away. The standard brush head is great for carpet though.
Never thought I'd say a hoover changed my life...but this hoover changed my life!

So lightweight, so easy to use. Use it every day now, for picking up cat hair (fine either off carpet or tile), general freshening, hoovering after DIY, doing the boot of the car. It's worth the money for hoovering the stairs alone...Makes something that was a complete pain with the full dyson really easy.

Great bit of kit

Big, heavy, bulky, you have to buy bags, needs to be plugged in, noisy and no motorised brush head. Other than that, pretty good, I guess.
Just purchased this, thanks OP, been after a cordless Dyson and was going to spend £199 on a new one

My dc44 has a powered head (it's an animal). It's a mine field.

I tried a few Hoover's over the years. As part of my job I look after multiple sites and all sites I went to used Henry family vacuum cleaners.

I bought one a couple of years ago and found it to be really good. I don't mind the weight and bags aren't really expensive.

Heat on the dea nonethelessl for those that want one.

The Henry is popular with professionals, I know. But I still stand by my reasoning They're rather different beasts anyway. I'm actually thinking of getting the Vax equivalent of a Henry as it can also do carpet washing. It would be great for a deap clean as well. The Dyson stick is great for routine every day vacuuming. In fact I think the house will be cleaner now because there is less dis-incentive to use it compared to our previous DC15 full-size upright. That really only got used once a week really, or when it had to be used. You can just grab the V7 and vac for 3-4 minutes than put it back in its dock. I use it much more frequently now, but sparingly.

Yeah, my V7 Animal is better than my big DC15 upright for the stairs as it has the smaller motorised brush head that will fit onto the stairs nicely. However, this deal doesn't include the Animal brush head.

Couple hours then you get 40 mins on normal and 20 mins on high power. It’s brilliant bought one last time and my in laws bought one and my sister in law too- wish I was on commission- that and the ring door bell
Is this the V6 Animal model ?

Lol, I just realized that my wife never hoovers, because she said Henry is too heavy.

I'm left with the hoovering chores.

More like 6 minutes on high power but I only rarely need to use it on high.

Nope - so it doesn't have the compact motorised brush head. And that'd a deal-breaker for me knowing as I do now how good it is for stairs and upholstery in particular.

Sorry andyjazz but that is complete nonsense. The V6 gives a maximum of 20 minutes use with about 6 minutes on maximum power. Not even Dyson claim the figures you quoted. I think your 2 hours charging is also a bit optimistic. 3 hours is more like it.
We got the v6 animal on refurb
And it’s been a nightmare

It never worked, they sent us a part to fit ourself. Then another. And finally (now two months later) an engineer came and changed a third part. Worst bit, I’ve got ten months warranty left on a seemingly Frankenstein piece of equipment that I haven’t even used!!!!!!!

just got a reply from the seller: This particular model does not come with a HEPA filter. If you are looking for a cordless machine that incorporates a HEPA filter. the only one in the V6 range is the Absolute. All the models in the V7 and V8 range all come with HEPA filters.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks, just orderd one to cheer the Mrs up. Will be sad to say goodybye to Henry...
Really good, I have it and i paid a lot more. Does my whole house (3 bed) from one charge with the low setting, powerful enough, replaced my big vacuum-cleaner. The only disadvantage is that you have to use a stick or your fingers to pull the mess out as it won’t just fall off the cylinder. This is known among all Dysons with this type of design as I had the same problem even with the big one even if the cylinder is half full. Still worth it though.

I wondered that too as mine very clearly states 1 year in the paperwork included in the box and on the box.

Some Dyson refurbs do come with 2 year warranty that I've seen on their ebay store but not these V6's...as far as I've seen at least.

That's rubbish. Only the V8 has a HEPA filter. The V6 and V7 in any form do not have a HEPA filter.
