Does this work on carpets?

Yes If your short otherwise you may need an extension pack.
I'm not getting sucked in by this bit of clever marketing

Great price. Would be tempted to get this but have the DC58 already and the head looks the same so not sure what benefit this gives over previous models not labelled as ‘mattress’.

This is a vacuum cleaner you can use for literally one task... Why on Earth would you shell out £140 for it instead of plucking up the extra for a superior model?
Has anyone actually ever purchased one of these?!
I think it would be better to make it as an extension to add to you existing vacuum. No one will have a separate machine for mattress, drapes, dusting, sofas, toaster lol but their marketing will work on some people.
I'll stick with my Hetty then. She works well on the mattress.

I don't know what you mean
Have got the Absolute which comes with that head too (plus a normal and hard floor head) and I swear it is supposed to be for stairs.

Let’s hope you are not being serious, but just in case you are it comes with other attachments as well.

It comes with the crevice tool, yes. But even still, it makes it one foot long. Absolutely bizarre how anyone can look at this and think "Wow fantastic deal".
Bizarre!
Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like you could save another £10 if you went for the V6 Top Dog version which is also on sale. It's not as pretty, but otherwise seems identical and comes with an extra attachment.

Compare it with what it is, it’s not a big dyson or even one with an extension tube. They are just rechargeable vacuums and yes they are expensive but that’s a dyson for you.
The normal Dyson V6 is a better deal (bizarrely it won't show up on a search of this site but it is on here)
Exactly the same tool and not in that vile vomit green, but £129.

wands on eBay for £20

they are pretty good IMHO, especially on stairs where a corded one is a pain

this version seems to add the HEPA filter, nice to have I guess

I bought the top dog model the other day for 129 pound. I was actually wondering how much for a long extension so I can use it on floors without getting down on my hands and knees?
haha for people who eat biscuits in bed? Love pass the mattress vacuum!

I know. Just buy a new mattress!
There really are some thick folks on here. Of course it doesn't have to be used only on mattresses, it comes with some other attachments that make it ideal as a small "go-to" vacuum for stairs, the car etc. I have the previous generation of this that was also marketed for mattresses and it's been brilliant (but have maybe used it only a few times on an actual mattress!).

Fair enough, vote cold and add comment if it's available cheaper elsewhere, or there's an alternative version available, as horsey has done.

Thank you very much! Are the innards of the main body identical across the range and only the accessories different?
Actually it seems like the HEPA filter is £30 on eBay, which explains why this is £10 more than the V6 Dog that doesn't have HEPA

So if you need HEPA, this is the better deal.

(I don't have a dog btw)

Why are thick people always so confident despite being so incorrect?

This is not only for mattresses! In fact, this is exactly the same as the Trigger Pro model, except it has a filter in that picks up more allergens. Making it ideal for items such as mattresses... or ANYTHING ELSE.

How on earth do you think it would prevent you from vacuuming any other surface? A little ultrasound detector on the front that shuts the unit down if it's not being used on a mattress-type material? My word.

No need to have a cry on a deals site mate... Calm down...

This is a crap deal. You're getting a tiny little device good for hoovering car seats, mattresses and maybe sofas. What else could you use this for?

Lay off the insults, it's pathetic.

Wait, so it can vacuum three things? I thought you said it was only one. Or maybe it's four?

I do believe you were the one crying over this deal actually, "mate".

Haha, yep, you got me - how embarrassing that I don't use HUKD very often! But not exactly surprising when it's full of people that can't work out what a vacuum cleaner is used for.
I made the mistake of using my V6 Absolute with the mini motorised tool to vacuum my mattress and got bad static electric shocks!
I have to say our Dyson v6 is fairly average at best. It fills up with dust after like 5 minutes and you end up needing a screwdriver to try wedge the dust and stuff out when you come to empty it. The battery is also crap lasts about 10 minutes.
Is it good for cleaning inside my car?

Yes, they just target their marketing at a particular niche (dog, car, boat, mattress, hipster) and change the tools accordingly.
It's quite clever really.

The DC34 is just a physically bigger V6 with a poorer motor (don't bother with this model)
The V6 body remains the same, same motor, same battery - just the tools differ.
The V7 gets a bigger bin and 10 minutes more battery
The V8 gets a further 10 minutes more battery and a better motor

not all motorised attachments work on the differing models, even though they may fit, so do some research before adding extras from eBay.

arash
There are specific car cleaning tools available for all the crevices (basically it's a V6 with a short flexi hose and a thin nozzle)

bbfb12's
point is valid, if you run it on max (and why not), the battery lasts ten minutes or so.

If you fill the bin with cat hair you will need a stick to hook it out, it doesn't just effortlessly drop into the bin like the adverts (partly because it's quite a small bin and cat hair will stick to teflon in a tornado).

I don't find these super annoying, because the convenience of just picking up that bit of dirt in seconds, (rather than the 5 minutes of getting the big hoover out), is totally worth it.

Wow thank you so much for your thorough informative answer, it also made me laugh! 😊 Cool, I'll keep an eye out for a wand then as it'll come in handy to save my back!

You don't need a screwdriver. Just detach the bin if anything gets stuck.
