Is £279 direct from Dyson inc a free accessories pack. May be even cheaper elsewhere due to the V8 now out.

Kinsly share how did you arrive at £279?
If you ring them up and order they sell it to you at a price lower than the website and you get a free accessories and bag. Don't know why they do this, the GF bought one the other day.
2 year warranty is a bit naff though; they say 2 years as that's how long the battery supplier says the battery will last for on average. They could at least guarantee the vacuum cleaner itself for 5 like their corded cleaners as it's basically separate from the battery. Their way of weaseling in out of repair costs I expect.

Just a note, it is the V6 Animal that is £279, the V6 Total is £299.

uh? Total is £299 online and £279 over the phone. No one is mentioning the Animal and it's price.

I just called up and they wouldn't offer it for that price! can I haggle with them? they seem to serious
I don't think you can haggle but if you don't ask you don't get. I phoned Dyson a couple of months ago when they had the total V6 on the website for £300 - I told them I wanted to upgrade my old Dyson and asked how much the total was. I was offered it for £280 straight away, came the next day and the free tools came about 4 days later. I did already have a Dyson registered with them so I don't know if that made a difference.

Thanks so much for this tip! I phoned up and said I'd tried one in Curry's but that it was out of my price range and I was wondering how much it would be direct from Dyson. Straight away she said £279 and included a free cleaning kit ,whatever that is. Have wanted one for ages so I'm really pleased. Thanks

Today I managed to get a v6 absolute for £289 direct from Dyson by calling them. On their website it's £329 so £40 cheaper and a free toolkit worth £65.

You get 6 years warranty under consumer law anyway as long as you are using the product for its intended use. Just got my 5year 8 month iMac fixed by Apple under the consumer law!
