It seems that Dyson have price matched someone else according to their site. It seems a new V6 Total Clean is now cheaper new from them than refurb'd in their ebay shop. Free delivery too.

It's only cheaper than the Ebay refurb store because they just bumped up their refurbs by say 25% and issued a 20% off coupon, very snide marketing indeed.
When you could have bought this for £175.99 two weeks ago

Correct, bought ours end of Feb for £175 from eBay. That was just the standard price. Think they’re just manipulating the market on eBay

That being said, £50 more (compared to the £175 for an eBay refurb) for a new one seems reasonable for anyone who doesn’t trust refurbs

Yes my first one had a faulty battery terminal. I ordered another and it was sealed and new but some warehouse operative had stabbed his pencil through the box making a pattern. good as new
Same price at currys

V10 is a handheld but isn't really because it's too big in my opinion. Its like Dyson couldn't think of anything to change on V8. The V8 has better dust eject than V6 (I have V8 and my Mother has V6) plus battery and power upgrades. If you can get a good deal on a V8 then pay a bit more for V8 as it can be a pain in arse when emptying the V6 especially if you have pets. You'll see!
