It says that it is brand new boxed in the ebay description
I’m tempted to return the refurbed when it arrives and get this instead. Depends if dyson send a brand new unit as they sometimes do
This or the 129 v6?

They normally do to be fair my last 2 were brand new
Depends on your budget. The v6 is the animal so good value for money but I wanted to stick to the v7 for the improvements over the v6

Yeah, I did want the extra too for the extra tools but they only had the pro on offer at the time I ordered
Hot RIP LEMMY
The V6 Animal has gone up to £160 now, though the PROSPER10 code is working.

It was an offer over the cyber Monday period, it’s ended now
Did anyone else get am email from they about them switching the model to a origin model. They say it is an free upgrade. But it seems to me there is less tools provided and it is an older model. What do you guys think.
Just had an email saying it can be delivered this week with an upgrade to origin model with two added tools

Yes I got that too. Decided to go for the upgrade as the only other option was a refund.

Comparing the V7 Motorhead Extra on the Dyson UK site with the V7 Origin on the Dyson Canada site (can't see it on the UK site), it looks like you get the crevice tool, combi tool, docking station and charger with both, and you're only losing out on the soft dusting brush and the mini soft dusting brush. And the message from the seller suggests you get an extra mini motorised head worth £37.50 and extension hose worth £30, so it seems like an OK deal.

I would have preferred the blue colour rather than the fuchsia but that's a minor point! Here's what it looks like versus the blue (pics from Amazon):

As an aside, does anyone know if my collection of tools for my Dyson DC32 Animal and DC59 handheld (predecessor to the V6) are compatible with this unit?
stuartwestmoreland.co.uk/dys…BwE seems to be what they are offering. £199 at a few retailers. Not really an upgrade as such. I think the message confused me a bit as it said it was a higher spec and then it was the same spec. Badly worded.

Good find. Agreed that the message could have been worded more clearly - I guess they're trying to say that the main unit is the same spec, but you get the mini motorised head and extension hose as an "upgrade" since you wouldn't have got those with the original Motorhead Extra product.
If anyone missed out on the original deal and wants to pick up the V7 Origin bundle (including the extra two tools supposedly worth £67.50), the same seller has listed it here.

Not as good a deal now that the PROSPER10 code has expired, but still better than getting it from other retailers who don't throw in the mini motorised head and extension hose.

Just the same deal as all the other retailers. Dyson is bundling the tools as standard.

Good point, I wasn't aware of that. Have you decided what to do?

I haven't decided. Just slightly miffed that the email was suggesting we were getting some special deal when it is just the current package which is available elsewhere.

Agreed, it's a bit cheeky of them!
Mine arrived this morning via ParcelForce and is currently on charge. Looks good so far - the main unit, tube, large motorhead, combi tool and crevice tool were in the box, along with the charger and docking station (no wall fixings supplied but this is apparently normal - got plenty of screws and rawlplugs laying around at home though and only need two of each). The mini motorhead and extension hose are in separate boxes taped to the main box.

Not sure I'll use the extension hose (it's quite short) but pleased with the mini motorhead which should be handy for doing the stairs, sofa etc. Don't think I'll miss the two dusting heads that would have come with the Extra model, since the combi tool seems more than sufficient.

Sadly my old DC59 and DC34 Animal tools aren't compatible - the only one I'll potentially miss is the hard floor attachment, but to be honest it was always a bit of a pain and I guess I can just use the Motorhead on my hard floors and carpets alike.
