Lightweight

Keeping your house spick-and-span is a breeze with the Dyson V7 Motorhead Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.

At just over 2 kg, and with no cords getting in the way, this vacuum cleaner makes it easy to reach under sofas, swerve around furniture, and stretch into ceiling corners to suck up cobwebs.

Tools

The V7 Motorhead Pro comes with a combination tool to easily switch between surfaces for spotless results. A crevice tool makes it easy to reach into narrow gaps, clean around the edges of stairs, and much more.

For more versatility, a single click lets you change to a handheld vacuum.

2-Tier Radial cyclones

Leave nothing behind. The Dyson V7 uses a 2-Tier Radial cyclones system to create strong centrifugal forces that make easy to suck up even the most stubborn dirt.

Two power modes give you added flexibility.

Docking station

Once your cleaning is done, the wall-mounted docking station lets you keep things tidy while recharging the V7 Motorhead Pro so it is always ready to go.

Is this better than the V7 animal that was posted on here a few weeks ago at John Lewis for £220

Does anyone know the difference between the Pro version and the "non-Pro" version? The "In the box" section for each on the Dyson website seems to suggest that the non-Pro one comes with more accessories whereas the Pro one doesn't even include a charger. Seems a bit odd to me.

How powerful are these compared to ordinary hoovers. are they just good for a quick do-over round the house and that's it?

They’re great for convenience regular cleaning but there’s no subsititute for a proper vacuum for a deep clean. I use my cordless probably 80% of the time and the cylinder the remainder. I wouldn’t say you can chuck away your old regular vacuum with one of these

I have a similar model (Dyson) to this one, and it is very powerful when considering it is a handheld cordless vacuum. The battery lasts roughly 12-15 minutes before needing to be recharged. This allows me to touch up the edges and 'tricky' areas in my flat that the robo-vac missed. I wouldn't use a cordless as my only vac (until the battery tech improves), however, it is extremely convenient to use and is perfect for stairs, under tables/couches and tricky spots.

What is the difference between this and the non "pro" version? I'm struggling to see.

Both the motorhead versions seem to lack attachments that come with the animal version

Nope, it's actually worse. The motorhead is the entry level on the V7, no additional tools provided.

Yes I put that in OP.

Motorhead, just worried it might be a bit too loud !

How long does it take to fully charge?

Contacted AskDyson via Twitter and they confirmed that the differences between the regular and the Pro version are just cosmetic (Regular = Pink; Pro = Black/Grey). The website now also seems to have been updated to reflect this as they're listed as including the same accessories.

I’ve been waiting for a deal on the v8, but the v7 is now looking more attractive (currently have the v6). Going to have to do a bit of research!
