Good deal if you want a Dyson although personally I would choose the Shark IF130UKTH over this.

V7 pretty old now
I got one before Christmas it’s really good way better than the V6 x
Swear I read that power of the V6 was better & better overall.
Got to admit it’s a pain to empty the V6 though, getting the collection container back on is aright pain

Got one a year ago. Being an old model kind of irrelevant unless you want to spend 00s.

Could never go back to not having a cordless. This is a good price as total clean comes with soft roller for hard floors which is about £60 I think, and doesn't come with base model.

Not tried a V6 but yes V7 is super simple. Just pull a lever and it empties straight into bin. No removing anything or messing about.

Personally I'd choose a kirby over both.

What cordless vacuum do Kirby do at £200?
Picked one up today - I was going for the V7 Motorhead Plus which was £199 everywhere until yesterday but couldn't find stock thankfully. I'm assuming this is a better deal as it includes the soft roller head?

Yes. Soft roller + mini motorised head would get you about £75 flogged on ebay I think, so this is a much better deal

Edit - motorhead didn't come with those last time I looked, not sure now it's called the motorhead+

Exactly the same position. Hard to find what the specific differences are but seems to be priced more by default on the Dyson page. Bar the colour, looks near the same anyway. Wooden floors us so either roller would have done the trick mind
Just bought the v7 Motorhead plus yesterday for £180.
Better out there for the price.. I recommend everyone doing a little youtube and Google research before splashing £200+

I did a ton of research when I bought mine at £160, and I couldn't find anything better. What's better for the price around £200?

None, but it's all about having the carpets and floor cleaned properly, not about being fancy.

If you have mostly hard floor the Jimmy sv51 for £170 is the winner I can't remember which one was best budget for carpets
Less powerful than the v6. Heads up if your hoping to upgrade
My wife and I hate the v6, always blocking. Is this any better?

Still have the V6 too and going strong. Never had a blockage on it, only use handheld mind

Oh ok yeah I looked at the chinese ones but couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Buy loads of stuff from aliex/bang etc., but nothing where I think I'll need the warranty.

The motorised head broke on my V7 (actually it just had a stone in it turned out to be fine). One email to dyson and they sent me a new one straight away and didn't even want the old one returned, despite them being £50 to buy.

We use a kebab skewer to unblock it where the dust enters the perspex chamber, seems to collect there. Royal pain.
Many thanks jinsta. I'm another person who was disappointed that the V7 Motorhead for £199 was out of stock, chuffed to bits to find this better spec at the same price. Result! Heat added.
I bought the motorhead plus last week and contemplating returning it for this. Could someone be so kind in telling Why I should go for this other than the quidco cash back please?
I am looking for answers like performance, accessories etc
Great deal

The main unit itself is the same, I think, but the Total Clean comes with the soft roller head and mini motorised head, which is missing from the Motorhead Plus. Having had the mini motorised head on my V6 Animal, it’s definitely useful, especially for stairs.
Great price OP. Was looking at this at £239 on Dyson ebay so saved some cash plus cashback will be a bonus. 😁

Blocked where? The 7 has less power but you may be doing somthing wrong in the 6 is aways blocked. Trying to help

Sounds like you need to empty it? Maybe you broke it stabbing it with the kaba stick
Cheers for replies. We empty when full and did find you need to wash filter once per month to keep suction good. But then it seems to collect dust at entry point to.perspex container and does its dreaded stop/start intermittent thing.

Thank you @ Swf77MiUk and moneyfornothing I have been doing some digging myself and you are right. I found the Motorhead plus comes with:Quick-release stubborn dirt brush, Crevice tool, Docking station, Chargerand Combination tool while the Total clean comes with: Motorhead, Soft roller cleaner head, Quick-release mini Motorhead tool, Combination tool, Crevice tool, Quick-release mini soft dusting brush, Docking station and Charger
I have carpet and tiles in my house so the extra tools will come handy.

Any day of the week
Just reserved one to collect and went through topcashback. Just wondering if you still get cash back if you collect in store. It was a 3 day wait for delivery otherwise and i would rather collect today.
