So tempted. Wonder what's the performance of refurbrished unit compared to brand new?

Yes...I was a little sceptical about a refurb but so many people seem happy with them and many are as good as new apparently.
The 30 day free return takes the worry away for me.

Does anyone know how well this does on hard floor?? Or is it definitely worth buying a dyson that comes with the soft roller head to be used on hard floors???

Apparently the soft hard flooring head is very good (I.e 10/10)...however the reviews say that the animal motorised brushhead is excellent and does a great job on hard floors too (I.e 9/10). That's good enough for me...I'm gonna give it a whirl and if not happy, I'll send it back for refund.

Yeh I basically have 50:50 carpet and hard floor and can't decide whether to go for this or go for the V6 total clean! Do I go for the extra charge time on this or for the total clean with the head! If its opened and used will they still refund if I was unhappy??

Apparently should be a straightforward return within 30 days...that's what made me go for it...
Ordered. Been waiting for a V8 refurb to hit this price
Dyson's are so overrated.

Had two and they are not worth the money asked.
Great price. Just ordered.
We got the V8 absolute for £289.99 refurbished, I looked at the Animal but the solid floor tool missing from the animal cost £80 ish on eBay.

We are happy with it.
Has the price gone back up...?
How well do the batteries last in these things? After a couple of years, do they start getting a bit rubbish (like phones and laptops), and can you replace them?
Why do people buy things because of the brand name even when better can be cheaper ,at this price i suppose a dustpan and brush by Dyson should retail at £50!, lets face it at this price Katie Price would buy it and dump it next week !

I have one, it's okay for Singles or Motorhome, but if you actually have Pets and a family... I wouldn't bother. It doesn't really pick up well on the standard power setting; the high powered setting lasts about 5 mins and it's dead. On top of that you have to keep hold of all these attachments, only two of which fit on the stand. The plastics are really poor quality, they are brittle and break easily, the stand is the first thing to go... plus you're constantly emptying it out, to where having no Bag sucks as it makes everything messy.

I don't get the craze personally, my 15 year old Miele is still my favourite.

I also like Miele's, I have two S7's, but I'm getting a bit bored trying to find broken ones on eBay just so I can replace the hose that fails every two years.
To buy a new hose from Miele is something outrageous, like £110.

Nice machines, blatent rip off spares.
At least Dyson spares are dirt cheap and easily available

Top 3 are no longer registered and last one has no items to sell.

Guess eBay have removed accounts and listings if it was there listed.

What always gets me about "refurbs", how do they have so many, so ask yourself have loads of them being returned by customers to allow for them to be sold on eBay as used, which then brings into question, if brand new ones were returned, what like will a refurbished one be like, with or without a 12 month warranty.

I use the cylinder ones, they're much better than the uprights, I've never had the hose break on me. The only problem I've had is the door break on, but that's because of some dumb kid ripped it off.... but yeah parts are stupidly expensive.

I cannot recommend bagless though, I don't understand the appeal of then having to put the crap in a bag yourself and dust getting everywhere.

Dyson sell thousands of new cordless models every week. The percentage of returns is tiny, but still equates to a high amount that end up as refurbs for sale.
is it any good for wooden floors?
Only getting 5 minutes use in charge may have a dodgy bayteryb

I have solid wood flooring throughout my downstairs, it works a dream for me!
Hot! I bought this for approximately £269 a couple of months ago and it was the best thing I've ever bought! Too easy to keep the house clean!

Had my V6 for two years and not changed the battery or noticed less time using it? Parts are easily available and there are plenty of strip down videos on YouTube. I love my V6 it's so easy to strip clean and I guess replace parts (never had to do that yet...)
Cheers OP, got the absolute for £399 but haven't opened it yet so will return that after ordering this one. Saved £150
This what I call an excellent refurb deal, unlike most refurb deals posted here that are only 10-15% less than a brand new one. Should be 30% off min meth heads (currently watching breaking bad)
The TSV ( today's special value) on QVC is Dyson V7 at same price with free p&p..30 day to return if don't like ....so why buy refurbished ?......ends at midnight !
Oops....sorry, new to this....didn't see someone already mentioned QVC.
Ordered - thanks to the OP

I reported all their auctions last nigh, so it looks like someone at eBay is on the ball for once, normally they ignore the reports
