If you're a Tesco "regular" it also allows you to use your Clubcard points to reduce the cost. I know it won't be as good as a big name brand, but reviews on picture quality seem fairly decent. Probably made in some factory in Slovakia, but saying that my no-name branded HD-Ready set from 2006 is still going strong!

Such a waste when points aren't boosted.

I know - probably keep mine and use it at Prezzo!

I was given this tv on Wednesday in place of a Technika 46" that had to be returned 5 times.
Loveling it so far so heat given OP.

I think tcb might also be available
Just tried will let you know if it tracks

Great price but with supermarket tvs it usually ends in tears better paying a little extra and getting a trusted brand.

I would have to agree especially with the Technika i originally bought.

couldn't agree more. for the price you could have gotten a smaller branded product that would last a hell of a lot longer.

By the looks of it they have done away with the technika name probably due to the bad rep now we have e-motion probably a fitting name as you with go through a few when it goes on the blink.

E-motion TVs used to be sold by Sainsbury's, made in Slovaks I think. Used to often claim to use Samsung LCD panels on the box.

I bought mine in December and they collected it for repair 5 times in April. It is covered by a one year warranty so i suggest you ring them and ask for it to be repaired.

We got this tv the other day(for £399, but got the £50 refunded as it dropped to this price!), we did have a Samsung 43" Plasma but it started to flicker on high contrast colours in one corner after 2 years, so we decided on this, and the sound isn't the best(sounds echoy) and the stand is a pain to attach(screws very tight!), but once you set the colour settings on the tv its amazing. I watched an episode of the Simpsons yesterday in HD and it was so sharp! Its not the best on normal SD channels, but HD is awesome! You can also get a 8 year warranty from the manufacturer UMC for £60, which is good piece of mind. So, so far so good, I was worried at first that it wouldn't be as good as the Samsung, but I was wrong, you just need a sound bar or something to sort the poor sound.

Thanks for this... I bought this morning, should be delivered Tuesday.

No worries, I couldn't really find any help when I was looking so I thought I'd post my experiences. It also works with a sky remote(if you have the version 9), and works with the xbox one's remote settings too, so its not like Bush TV's which can be a pain to programme!

Supermarket own-brand tellies aren't always a disaster. I've been happy with my Inspired 37" 1080p I got from Sainsburys years ago. It even has a great feature that adjusts the sound level when adverts are on so your eardrums aren't burst. Has always been a bugbear of mine having adverts much louder than the programme you're watching.

Just ordered one and was told, contrary to website ad, free delivery on tv's. Had to call em up, coz tesco.com sucks. 5 minutes on the blower, tv ordered. Thanks op.

UMC make both Technika and e-motion as well as other brands.

Even top brands have their sets made from basic generic chinese parts but normally only in their budget ranges.

Tcb is tracking and as a new customer you get a further £10 off!

seems like a good t.v. just thinking shall i. !

This comes up under the current Tesco offer with the free 5yr warranty. considering its a supermarket brand its still all lot of TV for the money and includes a free 5yr warranty; Bargain!!

Bought this tv for £339. Was slightly worried about the refresh rate. But connected it up and its runs at 60 htz. Tried some fast moving movie clips and plays them perfectly fine. Quite happy with the purchase.

If you use code TDX-KMNT it comes down to £314.10

Got this a couple of days ago, got the £10 off so only £339 and got the free 5 year warranty so a bargain. TV has great picture quality considering the price, well impressed. Just shame I missed out on the new 10% off code.

Just ordered, shame about the missing the 10% off, but I used code TDX-JGCV which got me £20 off taking it to £329, which is only 15 quid away from the 10% voucher, so cant complain. This code works for existing customers too.

Fingers crossed it's a half decent picture! Thanks wihan1!

Yeah, no hassles with mine so far. Happy with my purchase! Glad I could help!

Out of stock.Hopely will back couse want buy one.

got mine yesterday. panel fault producing half circled shadow and a piece of plastic from under the frame that should not be there. Ordered another one this morning (was back in stock then) and bring this one to the store. easiest and fastest return process...
apart from that defect a great TV which includes even an Ethernet port for internet access...
only watching non HD football or rugby is not really brilliant as there is the " glow" around the players but no motion blur. everything else....wow

Bought this tv last week and just checked again, it did not have an Ethernet port, mmmm, are sure its not a USB ?

Apologies, was talking about the Polaroid TV in the other post (must have clicked on the link posted to this TV...just noticed...duh!!

Got my second one this morning.
Still got the port. The port is a LAN port to link the TV to the router. It is mentioned in the Specs as RJ45 connection. Is left of the two HDMI ports and above the optical port.
An Ethernet port is an opening on computer network equipment that Ethernet cables plug into. These ports are alternatively called jacks or sockets. Ethernet ports accept cables with RJ-45 connectors.
As far as I can see this can be used for DNLA from your computer (streaming videos and other media from your computer via the TV). Should probably work wirelessly if the router is a wireless router.Have not tried it out yet.
Does not seem to give you access to the internet directly (says it is an optional feature in the documentation), but have not tried that as well yet and would be very surprised if it is.
Will use an old 7"tablet as remote control, satellite unit anyway, because the usability of TV interfaces for internet is usually "suboptimal'.
I was also pleasantly surprised that it has two USB ports, expected only one.

50 inch LED Polaroid P50LED14 1080p TV.

ordered mine days ago, tesco sent confirmation email but havent heard anything since. was expecting delivery tomorrow. spoke to tesco, no record with courier, courier not open now. call back tomorrow and check! i can only take delivery on saturdays as i work so if they messed this up they can shove it where the sun dont shine. both asda and tesco have terrible customer services. great low prices but no brains

Has everyone received their 5yr warranty yet as i haven't. Tescos keep saying they will look into it for me but still no warranty.

Anybody got their sky remote to work on this tv? Mine is a rev8. Umc only give instructions for rev 9 remotes

Can anyone recommend a good wall mounting bracket?
