Have one of these myself and would recommend it over the Miband for the screen as you can wear this instead of a watch. Similar in dimensions to the Miband so looks tidy on the wrist and everything works well. The app is a bit rudimentary and an earlier version has been panned by reviewers on Playstore but I find it does the job, connects and synchs quickly so no complaints personally (although I use it purely for activity tracking so turn the app off once I synch data from the device) also allows you to track your activity over a period of time and share your results through WhatsApp, FB etc.
A cheap, decent alternative to Fitbit.
Edit:Black is OOS but the tracker fits Miband straps which can be picked up for under a quid on Ebay..

None the less it's a bargain.
My sister in law's got one and uses it with her cr***py old Iphone (assume it an Iphone 4 or 4s). The app synchs fine but she did say the band vibrates at random occasionally. I have switched off notifications on hers today so will see how she gets on but I won't be surprised if its to do with poor compatibility with iOS. It works very well with my S4 if that's any help.
Thanks for the reply, sadly not much use. My mother refuses to upgrade her phones until she's forced to by normally death of the phone. So it's not even like I'll be easily able to buy a replacement phone that would work with this item either.
Hope this sits a bit tighter.
Powersensor-like I said in the OP, an earlier version has received pretty poor reviews but there was an update in early August and I have had no issues in connecting, synching with my Galaxy S4. However, I use this purely as a watch and activity tracker so I turn off the app as soon as I finish synching so I am not too sure how well the notifications etc work.

A rebranded version of this item is sold by Zeaplus as the Zeaplus band, which was only launched in late June so hopefully the app will receive further updates..

I don't know if it works on a 3gs but pretty sure they don'd do IOS7 so maybe treat your mum to a newer phone!
I've only had it for 4 days and still have 50% left from a full charge on day one. I have had plenty of screen time (checking the time, activity etc) but only turn on bluetooth sparingly ,around 3-4 times a day, to sync data from the device to my phone.
I have the mi band and have an app which also gives notifications through it. I get 30 days battery from the band and no noticeable battery use from the phone
I should have just ordered last night and asked questions later. The black one is OOS and I'm not really a fan of the other colours.
you can get it here www.zeaplus.com/zeaplus-band-feature
i ordered the other day and cant wait to recieve it!
How much for shipping?
This one has a BLE chipset but also a screen unlike the Miband, which explains the shorter battery life
DX.com is also selling these for around £18 through their EU warehouse

The tracker itself has the same dimensions as the Miband so you can swap it into a black coloured Miband strap..replacement straps are pennies on Fleabay

I own a MiBand which is extremely similar and the distances are accurate.
E06 has touch screen and an IP67 rating the E02 has a touch button and an IP57 rating.
Thanks a lot. Also, do you have to have your phone with you whilst running or can you leave it at home and just take the watch?
You can leave your phone at home, the tracking data for the whole day is stored on the band.
Tho that somewhat defeats the concept of 'mobile phone' ;0
That's great, thanks for your help!
Thanks!!
Can I point out that the 'touch screen' on this one merely refers to a button that's concealed under the screen i.e. its not a capacitative screen. It is IP67 rated and is definitely splash proof from my own experience..
You can leave the watch at home and sync data to the app on your return.
You have to enter your 'stride measurement' when you initially register the watch/app and it works out the distance covered by multiplying it with the number of steps you've done..
