A bit harsh, considering SES are a very useful bulb, certainly not just for cooker hoods!!

I had some of these Chinese leds and they strobed very badly.

Yes maybe, I would maybe use these for candle bulbs in a candelabra but they're pretty unsightly for that, so what else?
Some light fittings where you don't see the lamp AND they are cool not warm which normally means unnatural

My experience with cheap LED bulbs from China is half of them lasted a few months , flickered and blew out leaving a strong smell.

All the Chinese bulbs I bought from eBay , still working and very high efficiency compared to earlier LEDs I bought from UK supermarkets.

Yeah I just went and found some of his comments on other people's threads. Seems a solid gold pr!ck to me.

And much like an LED bulb, not too bright either.
